NCC and Cooper have a chance to get them this year but CCH will win the next two after that. NCC incoming Frosh could be special but CCH is simply having an embarrassment of basketball riches with a college coach at the helm. It's gonna be tough to knock them off.

 

That said, i saw a spirited Newport squad nearly knock CCH out last year. Rod Snapp still can't sleep at night over that one, so no matter what the pipeline looks like, you still have to play.

Cooper will challenge next year as well.

CCH is in a great spot, but I think dynasty talk is nuts. They will be in a dog fight (no pun intended) to get out of the district, let alone region. They have some great pieces, an awesome pipeline, and a man that can coach the leather off a basketball, but, there is solid high school talent elsewhere in NKY and tons of motivated kids and coaches that would love nothing better than to beat Cov Cath.

They are not infallible, as Cooper and Holy Cross have already shown this year. So there is that. But they are always in a position to win, and you can pick out spots the last two years (against NewCath, the foul called on Zach Pangallo and last year against Newport) when a single call or bad bounce would have ended their season, and this thread would have never existed. We will see if there are any bad bounces this year, or for the next four .... I bet there are.

Apparently not, and odds are you (or someone) will be asking this same question about this same topic about this same time next year as well.

It's hard to say they are in the verge of greatest dynasty run ever, when their run still hasn't been successful as Holmes run was in the last ten years.

If CCH was a stock, I would be buying. Coach Ruthsatz has it hitting on all cylinders. The program is being ran like a College/Prep school, if your talented enough, you'll want to be a part of this program.

 

The feeder schools are well stocked, but he is drawing kids from Turfeyfoot and Ockerman, among other schools.

 

St.Henry in the 90's and early 2000's would land their feeder school kids probably 80%, now that number is under 20%. Coldiron would start Varsity for the Cru this year. You can't blame him for wanting to be a part of the Colonel program.

 

If you want to see playing time under Coach Ruthsatz, you better play defense, be unselfish, and be in shape.

 

On a side note, I might be in the minority, but I wish Brent Angel was still playing basketball. He can jump, athletic, and crash the boards.

 

The Colonels could struggle with long athletic front courts.
