Is CovCath on the verge of the Greatest 9th Region Dynasty Ever?

Featured Replies

Sorry...we agree that Joe following Scott would NOT be a definite.

As long as Scott asked him to join his staff, I guarantee he'd follow him.

He wouldn't be at CCH if it wasnt for Scott.

He would be at CCH as long as Listerman wasn't. If his son Nick had graduated I bet Frederick would have been head coach.

Not a dynasty but state champ followed by a F4 is pretty strong.

Agree. I think Walter is underestimating how much Coach Frederick came to love Cov Cath once his boys started attending.

You can't guarantee that. Not even close. Joe and Tony are tight and Joe has a genuine bond with these boys, which you know. Joe loves these kids and he and Tony have grown quite close.

Not a guarantee you can make.

I feel confident that Joe would follow Scott if he left...and I know all about the relationships. Some of you are underestimating his respect for Scott and what he has done for CCH basketball. Joe is an Ohio guy and would absolutely love the opportunity to build an Ohio power with Scott.

I'm done with the subject until after an announcement is made one way or the other....but I stand by my "opinions."

Exactly how long do we have to wait to know if we are the greatest 9th Region dynasty ever?

I think this thread may still be alive whenever that may be.

We will know definitively when it becomes a "30 for 30" episode.

2 more years of at least state quarter final appearances in a row. My thread, my rules.

I like it.

Considering no team has repeated in 25 years and CCH came within OT of the Finals again, a pretty strong showing.

Let's see what happens next year as these young kids start to develop.

Care to support your answer a little?

Sure! One state championship does not make you a dynasty by default. Unless we are measuring success in a form where state championships aren't considered the main control for what makes you a dynasty. Care to support a reason why I should believe this is a dynasty?

I know that was a mouthful, if I wasn't clear please let me know and I will try to elaborate more.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there have only been four state championships EVER won by a 9th region team...Simon Kenton, Holmes twice, and Cov Cath last year. If your measuring stick is state championships alone, then I don't think you can make much of an argument for ANY team having a dynasty over the 9th region.
