I'm pretty sure this was the first of a new 2-year schedule. So, Jeff would have set this schedule after a 9-3 or 10-3 year, whatever they did in 2012, not 2011's bad year. So, the same soft schedule for a 6A team after a 12-1 season this year and 10-3 the year before.

I said it before, if I were a 6a program in Nky that had any aspirations of becoming competitive, my first 3 calls to schedule out of district teams would be to HHS, Cov Cath, and a Cincy school.

Very true.

I called this one. I saw Butler vs Manual earlier in the season and knew they were tough defensively and athletic enough to go toe to toe with them. Plus, there schedule had them more prepared for this type game and home field advantage is always a factor. Lastly, it seemed like most SK fans on here had already penciled themselves in to the finals and wasn't showing much respect for Butler. Not sure how the players and coaches felt about it, but, it's not hard to go into it overconfident when the fans are telling you how great you are.

Hopefully Joe Brown doesn't miss time for the Bears. He was having a great game prior to the knee injury. His replacement did a good job.

Powell had 68 yards rushing in the first half and then 1 carry in the 2nd half. Kuntz rushed for about 100 yards.
