DearToday
Met with the team this morning. He was DC for Corbin from 2014-2018.
ATLCat
This will be fine in the short term, but if you are looking long term then Corbin for all intents of purposes just gave up one of the top young coaches in all of Kentucky for a guy who has less than 10 years HC experience that is firmly in the twilight of his career. Sometimes there are home run hires... in my opinion this is more of an infield single hire.
ChiefSmoke
Met Coach Greer, when we were both in HS at the Phil Simms QB Camp, Morehead St. in 1980. Wonderful man and football Coach. Congratulations & Go Redhounds!
EKY_Football
Not the hire I was expecting but I hope it all works out for the Hounds and Coach Greer. Corbin is a tradition rich program and I hope Coach Greer continues to build on what Coach Haddix started. Going to be very interesting the next year or two to see if that happens and what direction the new head football coach leads the Hounds. Good luck! BEChargers
Coach Greer can obviously coach Defense. I think this hire depends A LOT on who the OC ends up being and if it's someone they maybe intend on being the next HC. Doesn't have to be that scenario but I think it would be something the fanbase could get behind.
Les
Good hire for Corbin. Folks, if you weren’t expecting Greer to be hired as head coach, then you’ve been sleeping under a rock the past few weeks. He will do just fine.
