Bishop Brossart 58 Bracken County 32

Recommended Posts

Bracken County really struggles to score points this season. Saw where in this one they only had 9 at half and 17 through three periods.

With that said, the Polar Bears get after you (in a street game sense) and blocked a plethora of Brossart shots. The Bracken County unit looks more suited to football, which has caught on in Brooksville. Coach Brausch was in the house watching some of his gridiron veterans duke it out on the hardwood.

Losing Austin Crawford and Brady Jones removed 35 points per game from the Polar Bears offense and it is sorely missed at the present time. I did think that the freshman team had some promising players coming up.

I continue to believe that our Mustangs are a tough opponent for teams that depend on only a few players to log 32 minutes. We placed 11 scorers in the scoring column again tonight, with the ability to platoon units of "starting capable" players throughout the contest.

Brossart's Zach Hamberg was SIZZLING HOT from beyond the arc tonight, nailing five 3-point goals en-route to leading all scorers with 17 points.

After an ugly 9-6 first quarter, the Mustangs flexed some offensive muscle in Periods Number Two and Three where we outscored the home team 42-11 and sent the game to a running clock early on in the fourth period and turned it over to the JVs.

BB: Schumacher 9, Steffen 5, A.Schirmer 2, Donnelly 3, C.Schirmer 1, Duffy 7, MacDonald 4, E.Eilerman 6, Hamberg 17, Bell 2, A.Paulin 2

Totals: 12-7-13/19-58............3-3

BCo: Cummins 2, Deaton 4, Thorpe 5, TanFischer 6, Bishop 4, TadFischer 5, Teegarder 3, Jefferson 3

Totals: 6-4- 8/12-32................1-6

JV Game - BB 60, BCo 43

FR Game - BB 55, BCo 29
