The Sts. Peter & Paul families have a solid pipeline to Brossart, as do the St. Phillip and St. Mary's parishoners. The main ones that are wishy-washy are St. Joe in Cold Spring. Brossart is their district high school, but some at SJ get pulled toward Newport Catholic when NCC crosses boundaries and lures them away.

Believe the offer at WVU is an offer to be a walk-on. Favor from one old friend (Huggins) to another (Macke's mother). With that said, Macke should help Highlands this season. He played at Holy Cross as a sophomore, but went back to Highlands and KHSAA made him sit out a year.

Also, Drew Wilson of Campbell is > the boys from Scott.

Newport was the favorite last year based on how many veterans they had coming back. This year, they are not the favorite based on how many veterans/points they don't have coming back. Simple as that.

From the news in another thread of Dixie players defecting to Lloyd, yes, Dixie would appear to be ranked way too high.

Then that would also mean Pendleton County would be included, with Allen bumping Miles from the top spot :walk:

None of the games mentioned looks very attractive.

Funny how some are hating on the Brossart schedule yet the Mustangs, along with the Camels and Scott, still make up the toughest district (by far!) in the 10th Region. Those three teams again in the top 5 of the region this year.

Bears have a lot of beef on the sked this year: Villa Madonna, Williamstown, St. Patrick (twice), Bellevue (twice), Ludlow, Dayton, Frankfort Christian.
