What does Bishop Brossart need to do to be successful in the 2018/2019 season? Please be constructive.

I think Brossart will do well this season-game in and game out they will be competitive- problem is 10th region is going to be tough this year and more importantly the 37th district is probably going to have 3 really good teams which means one really good team wont make it to the 10th region playoffs. Brossart, Campbell County and Scott will be playing to fill 2 spots and one decent team will be on the outside looking in!

Mustangs have operated on the cusp the past few years, and have been just a cut below their district rivals.

Lost to graduation are Zach Hamberg (49.9% Career 3-Pt) and guard Bryce Donnelly, who unfortunately was hampered by injury the past two seasons.

 

What we bring back are veterans, Senior J.D. Schumacher, Junior Ethan Eilerman and a strong guard corps (Duffy, Schirmer, Wieland, and Verst). Senior Allen Jump will be the X-Factor. Tyler MacDonald and perhaps Brett Kremer will provide muscle.

Defense will again be our forte, and we will have to limit our opponents' point production.

 

Our primary focus will be on winning the 10th Region "A" and making a return to Richmond in January.

No attack on you, but I think this is a flaw and has been a flaw within the program for the past 4 to 6 years. It's my opinion that scheduling has dropped off in this timeline as well. This is something that needs to change, both scheduling and expectations. Shoot for the sky! Play the big dogs, take your lumps and grow!

I miss-stated our objectives. Our goals are always to win the district and then go on to become 10th Region Champs in March.

 

The line should read, "our initial objectives will be winning the 10th Region "A" and making a return to Richmond in January."

 

The 10th Region "A" is the first major hurdle that lies in front of us, beyond that winning the district and regional are our ultimate goals. This group of seniors has not made the trip to the "A" State since they were spectators as freshmen in 2016. We need to take small steps back to prominence, and winning the 10th Region "A" and competing in the "A" State tournament would satisfy our first goal.

More wins I reckon. I know a majority of their schedule is controlled by the NKAC and are required to play all the NKY small schools. They’re goal is to win the All ‘A’ every year. It’s been tough to get out of their district.

That schedule is an embarrassment to a prestige program like Brossart's. Mason County seems every year to be going more and more into that direction as well. That being said, I think Brossart wins 10th All A easily and is top 5 10th region

With Robertson Co in the All A, I would be surprised if Brossart wins it easily.

Robertson would fair better against an athletic team like Paris over Brossart, they're not on Brossart's level when it comes to facing that defense and that style of offense even, few teams in the 10th are though. I don't see the Mustangs having any trouble in the 10th A this season.

Actually Lloyd is no longer a member of NKAC D-II, and went independent a few years ago to play in a conference along with Grant County, Carroll County, Owen County, Gallatin County etc..

Ah yes I forgot Lloyd dropped the conference and that Highlands has played down for a few years despite their size. Personally I think the NKAC conferences should end anyway. Unless you are in D3 it's pointless for basketball. Some of the other sports like track/cross country and others it's nice just because of the extra meets for kids to participate in.
