UK#1fanisback
I think Sims and the other DT #98 make the team.
futurecoach
What about Peerman? What about him? Bengals just drafted a lot of guys who are also expected to help on special teams. Eventually only being a special teams person gets you cut, when there is younger talent.

I agree, when we drafted Mixon (and of course the two WRs) it made sense to me immediately why we let Rex go and that Cedric is on the chopping block. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sims, and Gilberry gone too. The tough spot is at DB. They really like the safety they drafted last year in Flagegaen or however you spell it. Deron Smith makes plays when he is in at safety though too. With Carl Lawson being able to play backer or DE. I wouldn't be surprised to see them cut one more DL making Gilberry expandable. futurecoach
One thing for sure. It should be a competitive training camp. Hopefully they make the right choices on who to keep and most importantly go into the season healthy.

We let him go and then signed him back because we needed help. If we need help this year at DE we are really bad at drafting/signing FAs.
frankdracman23
These things have a way of working themselves out when a number of players end up on the PUP list or worse. Last year we all had Billings and Jackson as possible starters and neither played a down.

Wallace is able to drop down to the 4 technique in a pinch, and especially on rush downs. His versatility makes him attractive.

Bengal Maniac
I don't see Hewitt making it. He plays limited amount of snaps. Cedric is too valuable on Special teams to cut over Hewitt. If they keep 7 WR's then he will be used less because of the wide open offense I think they are evolving to.
