HMS Boy's 7th grade = 25-2 with 4 league games left to play.

NCC's closest game will be with LCA in the semi-finals. NCC will win the tourney with the average margin of victory being over 30 points per game.

Sandbagging at its best. Goal for CovCath is always to win. Maybe a tall task to achieve the goal, but the Colonels aren't conceding anything until the final horn blows.

I'll go with not running up the score nor a perfect storm. The average margin of victory for NCC's 10 wins over 9th region teams is 38.4 points. Seems like 41 over St Henry is right in the ballpark.

Completely contradictory to your own $$ amounts that you assigned to these kids in the other thread. You listed McClendan as the fourth best shooting guard ($2) and Mullins in a group as the fifth best small forward ($1). That puts both outside the top 15. Based on your own $ amounts, Avery barely makes the top 15.

With this news, expect the finals of the All A to begin about 7:45, not 7:00 as scheduled

I want to be a buyer of what you guys are selling, but things just not adding up for me. Have lost 5 of last 6. Lone win in this stretch is against 1-17 Burgin. Bad losses to Beechwood and Highlands. One closer than expected loss to a very good team does not indicate that things are looking up.

Does anyone know how this is supposed to work tonight?? Highlands vs. Holy Cross girls tip off at 5:30. Two of the 3 best in N Ky which should draw a near capacity crowd. NCC vs. St Henry in the All A Final at 7 pm. The 2 best A schools in N Ky which should draw a near capacity crowd. Scheduled 1 and 1/2 hours apart in a relatively smallish gym. I can't imagine this going well.

Well here's my one and only attempt to right the ship...... CovCath is winning these games on the defensive end. Holding good offensive teams to less than 50 points is getting it done. Holmes is not going to beat good teams with JB going 0/7 from distance. He is 1/18 from 3 point land in their last 2 losses. I suspect he will get back on track next week. Not sure what sort of challenge Hughes brings for CovCath today, but the game with Wilmington next week should be a good one.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around this score........ This is PC who just lost to 4-9 Highlands on Tuesday that is playing 10th Region #1 Mason Co who just clobbered the James Bolden led Holmes Bulldogs.

Hebel out of school sick on Wednesday - back on thursday but played very few minutes (maybe 5). Kendall hurt his hand in warm ups ??, his minutes were limited also. Nothing the Birds did or who was on the floor mattered. Campbell was very good last night.

This may have been the best shooting performance I have ever seen by a high school team. Maybe by any team. Can't wait to see the stats. I know the Camels had 10 - 3 pointers and several mid range jumpers. It didn't matter if it was Jackson, Losey, McGovney, or the 12th man off the bench. Whoever shot the ball scored. HHS plays decent defense. They make you work to score. CC just was extremely efficient. Halftime score was 41-21. Game never got closer than 20 in the second half. Parker Harris had a great game for Highlands. He finished with 26.

If this is asking about HMS/Turkeyfoot, I can give info about the 7th grade game. HMS wins by 30 or so. I think it ended up 62-30.

HHS comes away with thei fourth consectutive win. Tonight marked the return of leading scorer Parker Harris back fom injury, but it was juniors Mitchell Cain and Bo Hebel that led the Birds in scoring. HHS led by 5 at half. The lead was 3 after the 3rd quarter. PCHS twice took 3 point leads in the fourth quarter. With just over a minute to play, HHS came out of a time out down 52-50. Ran a set play, It was a back door cut by Harris. Nice bounce pass by Weyer and Harris finished through contact for an and one. Two late free throws by Harris extended the lead. PC set up a play with 8 seconds left - the desparation 3 was off target. Really like the sophomore Antrobus for the Wildcats. Shoots it very well and attacks the rim with confidence.

Highlands travels down US 27 tonight to take on the Wildcats. Believe it or not, HHS going for 4 in a row. The schedule has been kind and gets much tougher after tonight. My goal is to get to watch the whole game. The Birds nor I have much luck in these 10th region gyms. As long as Q stays home, I think I'll be successful, not sure about the Birds.

Warren Central makes sense. If he wants to be a head coach next season it will probably have to be in the BG area. That's where he made a name for himself and is well respected. His head coaching resume ( 1 - 21 ) will keep him from serious consideration anywhere else.
