Which school in KY has the biggest gym?

 

Holmes and Mason Co come to mind when I think of this. But not sure which one holds more fans.

My thinking would be Mason County, Marshall County, Henry County, and Montgomery County all between 4 and 5 thousand seats..

Just to name a few

Marshall Co: 6,000

 

Pulaski Co: 5,000

Mason Co: 5,400

Montgomery Co: 4,200

Greenup Co: 4,100

Holmes: 3,000

Scott Co: 3,000

Shelby Co: 3,000

 

There may be more that have 3,000+, but I just selected the ones mentioned already and a couple more. The issue some schools now have is how will the gym be funded when re-building. As I think the state says they will only help fund a gym that is not larger than the current gym. I think Montgomery Co. was looking at a gym that holds more than 4,200 but the funding issue came up.

If 5000 is tops, you'd have to put Boyd county on the list also.

The KHSAA directory says Pulaski County holds 5,000. That would be about right, but it also can hold a good number of standing-room only.

KHSAA lists Central Hardin at 4,000 and Valley at 3,200 (although I think that might be the old number for Valley).

Valley would have to be on the list also, I would say 3200 plus.....
