I think you are because most if not everyone believed this was a foregone conclusion they would win the All A pretty easily.

My post was more along the lines of who was at this game and could have easily posted before me...hailing LB13, LB13?

That's a large margin.

NewCath claims it's 3rd 9th Region All A Title in a row, and 11th since 2000, with a convincing 85-44 win over St. Henry tonight at a packed house in the Finn Center at Holy Cross. Breds defense was stellar tonight, as was the passing, as NewCath "dished" out 20 assist for the game.

Food was calling, then I started posting one and while I was typing away you got in before me.

BTW, thanks to statman for the stat sheets tonight and last night. Also, thanks to BaseballNut24 for the drinks and hospitality the past two nights as well. :thumb:

Anytime...again, sorry for being short. I guess I am not good under stress.

No problem at all, it's hell being a perfectionist. :lol2:

Congrats to NCC on the win.

Good luck with the rest of the All A.

Very impressed with Pangallo.

Cru played without senior guard Logan Kenny who has been a big part of the team's strength and balance. Hope he's back in the line-up soon.

Out gunned in every area tonight. Pangallo looked very sharp. I saw a lot of old friends. That's the perfect size floor for Ncc with their size!

The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds did not have any bumps in earning another trip back to the All “A” State Tournament.

The Thoroughbreds (15-3 overall) handled the St. Henry Crusaders (12-9) by an 85-44 count Saturday at Covington Holy Cross. NewCath has won three straight All “A” 9th Region crowns and will be aiming for its third consecutive All “A” State championship in Frankfort this week.

The Thoroughbreds saw Zack Pangallo take home most valuable player honors with Drew McDonald and Grant Moeves making the all-tournament team. McDonald had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds with Pangallo scoring 18. Ben Weyer followed with 12 and Moves had 10.

NewCath travels to Highlands on Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. contest before beginning the All “A” State Tournament on Thursday. The Thoroughbreds battle either Edmonson County or Hancock County on at 11:30 a.m. at the Frankfort Civic Center.
