  1. As crazy as winless teams making the playoffs is.... Only KHSAA could devise a system where a winless team is a 3 seed in a 4 team district set-up. ( See Boone Co HS )
  2. My question was would they have faired better versus unranked Graves Co's schedule. I believe they were 5-5.
  3. ^^^^^ Maybe HHS would have faired better than Graves against their schedule, hence I had them ranked higher. What about Southwestern, South Oldham, and Montgomery Co? How would they have done, better than 5-5?
  4. You can make statistics lead us to the desired answer by picking and choosing the stats to present. Knowledgeable basketball minds on this board... give us names (not numbers) to stimulate the conversation.
  5. I like the teams listed 1-6. 7. CovCath 8. Graves County 9. Madison Southern 10. South Oldham Graves has 5 losses, but they are all to quality opponents. I would give them the same ranking love that HHS and CovCath get for playing a tough schedule. Not sure how Southwestern is still ranked, and how Montgomery Co could be ahead of Madison Southern.
  6. Tennessee DL completely dominated the Kentucky OL. Everything else about the game paled in comparison to the mismatch between these 2 units
  7. If they are indeed half truths. That's my point. If Conway's camp is using half truths to smear Bevin - refute them. Put the issues to rest. Bevin has not done that.
  8. Half truths can be easily refuted with a bit of transparency. I'm with BigV - currently not voting in the Governor's race
  9. I looked it up. Barker had more passing TD's than rushing. Barker had 62 career passing TD's and 51 career rushing TD's.
  10. Rather important part of the post if that's the case.
  11. Where in the world did you come up with this stat? In the history of Ky high school football - most schools didn't even throw the ball until recently. I would think Owen Hauck and Mike Murphy coached QB's all rushed for more TD's than threw them.
  12. I predict 1-5 remain solid after this week's games. I predict 6-10 will look a lot different after this week's games.
  13. Before I click the link, can anyone refresh my memory on (1) which region of the state the AP voters come from and (2) the whole north/central/east/west thingy from last week.
  14. I'm not a huge UK football fan but I have a bit more faith in the progress of the program than most of you guys on here. I think they started the season 4-1. Probably a better start than most expected. They are in a tough 4 game stretch against SEC competition. A close loss to Auburn and a lopsided loss to an SEC West team on the road - now the sky is falling??? They may lose their next two games in this mid season stretch. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. Doesn't mean we should all give up on them. This team has 3 very winnable game to finish the season and may just finish 7-5. A winning record and a bowl game - what more do you guys expect.
  15. Rather than add teams to list, I'll pare it down to just the two favorites- PC and BG. Interesting how you eliminated Christian County based on their lopsided losses to BG and Owensboro but forgot to mention that they just defeated Graves County 2 weeks ago. Your right about one thing, I know very little about the teams out west except for scores listed on the web. Looks to me like GC, O, and CC are about even and several touchdowns behind BG. Fern Creek will have to actually defeat a good opponent for me to believe they have any chance at all.
  16. ^^^Could you post quote those talking about a title run please.
  17. Graves Co - really. Why not Christian Co? Untested Fern Creek - really. Come on guys, a better answer would have been .... " I'd be shocked if it was anybody but BG or Pulaski ". If your adding teams like Fern Creek and Graves in the mix - I got a couple more for you.
  18. Southwestern was highly ranked in 5A and got a running clock put on them. Is this a case of Pulaski being that good, or was Southwestern overrated? Is it only Pulaski, BG, and Owensboro in 5A Looking back at SW's record, they do have a blemish to 4-5 (4a) Bourbon County.
  19. Though I realize that the biggest part of the recent success of the Birds is the "schedule relief" the last three weeks, I have seen some subtle changes that are leading to better results. A couple of defensive positions have been changed, a couple of personnel changes, and less rotation defensively. Offensively, Mitchell Cain finally appears healthy and was the Birds got the ball in his hands a few times. Hergott being efficient within the passing game. Shorter, higher percentage passes. Confidence building.
  20. I only counted 1,724 - send me a PM with your list so I can see what I've missed.
  21. Nice effort by HHS on senior night. Bradley Greene took the opening kickoff back 90 yards for the Birds first score. Nice runs and short passes moved the Birds down the field on their next few possessions. Ill advised deep ball across the middle, thrown from the end zone, was picked off and set up Grant's score in the first half. Running clock midway through the second quarter. Congrats to Ryan Conley on a beautiful over the outside shoulder 30 yd. TD catch late in the first half. Jared Dougherty added to his school record PAT total by going 5 for 5. He has a chance to make it into the state all-time top five over the next few weeks.
  22. Nineteen voters with a good handle on the relative strength of teams from their area. They do not have the time to devote to ranking 60 teams across the state. They probably slot the teams they know then fill in the blanks based on the easiest method = W/L record. It's quite simple N Ky fans: Ryle is 7-1, Cooper is 7-2 = Ryle ranked higher
  23. Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. WWE most definitely fits under the entertainment part
