Agree, but I believe their "B game" is much better than most other A games.

Ballard and Eastern are just much better than anyone else in the state this year. If either one of them are playing reasonably well, they won't be beaten by any other KY team, IMO.

If last year's Ballard sqaud with their talent and experience couldn't win at GRC, then I don't think this years can. On a neutral floor, if Ballard hits over 30% from 3, they win. They're pretty darn good for as young as they are so watch out GRC!

Ballard vs Trinty in first round of District so one top ten team won't even make it to regional.

Seneca beats Trinity by 18 tonight. Coupled with their upset of Ballard they are the #1 seed in district. Two current top ten teams playing in the first round of district!

No knock at all. They are 6th in state and IMO based on what they have done on the floor, that is reasonable. A five point win against a Male team that is WAY down this season should raise some questions!

Played a five point game at Male against a team that Eastern and Jtown beat by over 20?? Lex Cath game will shed more light on where Clark Co should be ranked but they still have to prove they can play with the top teams in the state on a consistent basis. Also, no luck with the sweet sixteen draw.

Can't disagree. The only negative is that the setup makes it VERY likely that the top teams in the state don't win as often as they should because of the blind draws and the tougher road it causes and the possibility of too many games in too short a time span! I cite last year as an example as IMO, a rested Ballard wins the championship game 8-9/10 times against Shelby Valley. As stated above, that's what makes it the event that it is!

All I know is that my son played three years of varsity ball and the one game that stands out in my mind for absolutely horriffic officiatiing was a game at Lex Cath that his team actually won so I think there are certainly some issues related to Lex Cath and certain officials for reasons I am unaware of.

Great designed play by Klein! Baseball pass to left side of halfcourt where player passed ball to left side about three point line and then Lilly flashed to top of key(I believe off screen) to get a open look. As far as game went, I thought that Trinity allowed X to grab momentum early and had difficulty the whole night recovering. Credit to X for hitting shots but I think if Duedonne and Foster start and T sets the tempo early as they did in LIT, this wouldn't have been nearly as close of a game. Will only know if they play again?

Ballard shoots something like 3-21 from three in this game after going 9-19 against Trinity. If they hit their threes, they win the LIT. I wasn't there so the question is whether the Eastern's D was contesting most of those shots or they just weren't falling?

I would say probably yes!

Ballard will have to be ten points better tonight to overcome the MASSIVE home court advantage that Catholic always seems to enjoy??? I think they will win this but it will be close

I would speculate that there isn't another kid in the state, high school or college , who can throw the ball with velocity and distance like this kid. I'm not sure on his touch but he's got a rifle!

I wouldn't get too excited over this one. StX is REALLY down this year and I bet will struggle to win 10 games.

\ I agree with tcjkbt's analysis but would add that Trinity really seemed to struggle to score when they went to their bench and against Ballard's relentless pressure you have to give the guards a break and it cost them last night. That may get better with time and experience for the younger players. I believe Holland is a sophomore and was the most impressive to me as I had already expected outstanding play from Parker and Snider. The other frosh starter was Martin who is about 6'5" and appeared very physical for a freshman but was a bit limited offensively. If Holland and Snider stay together for three years, Ballard will be TOUGH!

I would have a little trouble classifying the members of a team that is 0-6 and just lost by 59 points as "great" at anything?

This game could be interesting. Ballard at home will be tough but I think that the game will depend upon the amount of pressure that Ballard can bring. If they can bring the full and 1/2 court pressure like they have for the past several years, they will win by 10. If they can't then I think Trinity can win this. Trinity needs to keep Parker from lighting them up from 3 and keep the rebounding even for this to be a good game.

Agree They'll have to improve on that to survive Ballard's pressure.

Neither team played very well IMO. Very sloppy game! I think T had about 25 TO and I bet SC had 15-20. Ivey and Manning picked it up in the 2nd half to pull out the win. Trinity struggled to find a consistent scorer as Duodonne and Foster had off nights. Quick will be a nice addition to the offense for T. This SC team has a long way to go to match last year's squads accomplishments.

Didn't he leave a few years ago to take a head coach position and it didn't work out? I think he likes the OC position.
