The Bruins hit 8 threes to Trinity's 2. Ballard starts 2 freshmen, Snider and Holland,---plus they have Parker (22 points last night). T outscored B in 2 of the 4 quarters and the teams tied in another. However, Ballard outscored T 25-8 in the second quarter. T cut the lead to 6 a couple of times later but B answered each time. Ballard Coach Renner was happy with the district win.

I agree with tcjkbt's analysis but would add that Trinity really seemed to struggle to score when they went to their bench and against Ballard's relentless pressure you have to give the guards a break and it cost them last night. That may get better with time and experience for the younger players.

 

I believe Holland is a sophomore and was the most impressive to me as I had already expected outstanding play from Parker and Snider. The other frosh starter was Martin who is about 6'5" and appeared very physical for a freshman but was a bit limited offensively.

 

If Holland and Snider stay together for three years, Ballard will be TOUGH!
