I thought Clark Co beat Tates Creek.

I thought Clark Co beat Tates Creek.

We did. We have won our last 10 games, won the Toyota Classic against state ranked teams and fell 3 spots....:idunno:  We have only lost to one in-state school, "Henry Clay" with a brutal schedule.

Maybe Dave needs to recalculate.

They did beat J-Town ...maybe that is why they rose in the rankings???

Played a five point game at Male against a team that Eastern and Jtown beat by over 20??

Lex Cath game will shed more light on where Clark Co should be ranked but they still have to prove they can play with the top teams in the state on a consistent basis.

Also, no luck with the sweet sixteen draw.

Think we have already proven we can play and beat the ranked teams. Christian Co twice, Scott Co, Warren Central, Tates Creek and Western. Also by your comparisons: We beat Tates Creek by 7 who beat J-town by 13.

Also saw where Ballard only beat Doss by 11 last night. That is just basketball.

Just don't see how a team drops 3 spots with no losses and just winning the Toyota Classic.

Guess we will see if Tates Creek deserves the big jump in rankings after they play Eastern tonight.

Not a very logical quote. I think Clark have already proven themselves. You can't base their status on one game being played at Lex Cath ,playing in an old mid-sized gym. That quote was just an effort to knock Clark.

No knock at all. They are 6th in state and IMO based on what they have done on the floor, that is reasonable.

A five point win against a Male team that is WAY down this season should raise some questions!

A win is a win regardless of the margin. History has shown you can't compare scores from games involving the same team because it doesn't tell who is going to win the game.

Case-in point:

Auburn beat Florida State 65-60

Florida State beat Duke 66-61

So Auburn should beat Duke by 10, right?

The fact is, EVERY team has a bad game here and there. However, it only matters if they win the game or not, not the margin of victory. However, I'm sure GRC would've liked to win by more but it also may have been a case of Male just being hot that night and playing good ball as well. Way too many factors that may have lead to that score to make assumptions about GRC on your part.

Win a few more and maybe you will drop off the list. Maybe Dave Cantrall grew up in Mason County!

What about GRC's win against Scott Co by 17. Their win over Warren Central by 16 without starting center Cory Rogers . Thier win over Christian Co by 14 without starting forward Vinny Zollo. Believe those 3 games should answer any questions....if any on the Male win.
