gold sunrise
GRC came out smoking and was up by 11 early in the game.GRC up 21-15 after the first quarter. GRC only scored 9 points in the second quarter and at the half it was Ballard 34-GRC 30. End of 3rd Ballard 54-43. Man are they quick, #4 Snyder is a joy to watch. Believe he is only a Freshman. Believe they out rebounded the Cards tonight, also had some easy put-backs. They are the real deal. Also want to thank them and their coach for scheduling this game so late in the season and having 4 games this week. Best of luck to them the rest of the season. Zollo had a good game tonight, glad to see him bounce back after such a bad game at Mason Co. He had some impressive dunks tonight. Robbie had some great drives to the basket. Seems like our Free Throws was off some tonight....they didn't miss many. Parker led Ballard with 23 points and Snyder had 19 points. GRC was led by Zollo with 20 points, Cory Rogers with 15 points, and Robbie Stenzel with 13 points. Great game between 2 of the top teams in the state. If they meet again....will be another great game...just hope the outcome is different.
MNCM
Super impressed with Ballard. Best pressure defense I have seen in several years. They flat out hustled for the entire game, and scrapped for everything. Ballard is going to be tough to beat with all those athletes. They shot the 3 like no one else I have seen this year. GRC came out super hot and looked to run away. Vinne Zollo had a huge game, as did Corey Rogers. Robbie Stenzel had a bunch of drives into the baskets for good scores. I hope GRC and Ballard play again soon!
boonesp
Ballard was impressive. They are quick, shoot the 3 well and made their free throws. GRC didn't have their A game but tonight it probably wouldn't have made a difference. Zollo had his best game in awhile but it wasn't enough. Very nice crowd considering the snow, I was surprised. jahearme
Sounded like turnovers killed the Cards tonight. Not sure how many they had, but it had to ne close to 20.
tcjkbt
Congrats to the Bruins. I thought GRC would handle them in Winchester.

Walter
Not surprised Ballard won, but definetly surprised by the 14 point margin. Looking forward to making the trip to L'ville sat to see the Bruins against Holmes. As Goldie said, Q Snyder is the real deal. Check out his highlight reel on youtube. Unreal for only being a frosh. Unofficial stats of turnovers are around 30. Clark County's Vinny Zollo put in a basket over Ballard's DeVante Parker (23), Gary Biggers (32) and Quinten Snider (4). Zollo led the hosts with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Fellow Cardinals senior Corey Rogers added 15 points and seven rebounds. 3fromdeep
Big win for Ballard going into the Eastern game Friday night. I'm sure GRC will bounce back and I expect to see them in Lexington in March. Too many horses, Zollo and Rogers are a load!
loubballfan
Ballard and Eastern are just much better than anyone else in the state this year. If either one of them are playing reasonably well, they won't be beaten by any other KY team, IMO.

loubballfan
But any team can be beaten on a given night...look at Tates Creek over Eastern. Agree, but I believe their "B game" is much better than most other A games.
