Have to agree with this one. Understand Highlands has won a lot, but if you want to be considered the best, 300 or 1300 boys, you need to win the biggest class in the state. Agree that they probably would have done that in past years, but we'll never know?

If the sophomore class continues to live up to expectations, I would wonder in two years if Trinity would be asked to play against one of the major players nationally in one of those made for TV ESPN games?

The problem is that, besides some of the Male teams in the early 2000's and the Brohm led T teams, Glaser has had a major edge in the talent department throughout the 2000-2009 years so it would be expected he would win a lot more than 2 titles. Count me in with the other T fans who hope the X administration continues to be happy with a title every 6 years or so.

One for sure- Manual! They can get anyone in the city in and they prove that in academics with their 40 odd National Merits every year. With a quality coach, they could certainly compete with T and X!

I think this actually gives the rest of the state 6A teams a better chance to get a title since they will only have to go through one of the two to win. It's a lot more likely to have an upset of either T or X in a one game scenario then to have to beat both of them in a season to get a championship.

They are still 3-1 with a loss to a powerful Cincy X team. They have been missing their starting running backs and they have a solid defense. No, they don't appear to be as talented as Trinity this year, but I think the game will be less than a 7 point spread. And as I stated earlier either on this post or another, they have to be superior to really have a shot to win as the system they run requires superior size and strength(which they don't appear to possess?) and does not allow for mistakes.

Could be a trap game for Trinity sandwiched between the X's. BG has played them tough every time they have met but I'll go with Trinity 20-10

2007 regular season game as I recall or it may have been earlier? I don't think it was 2008 as that was the rainout game but I may be off on my dates. Can anybody help on this one?

All I can say is the guy is shooting 80% and I think Trinity has graduated a lot outstanding young men who played four years of football (and won a lot of rings) under Beatty.

X fans can say what they want but deep down they know they would trade us coaches in a heartbeat! Both in his play calling and sportsmanship, Beatty has proven to have the upper hand in both over the past ten years and deep down all the X people know that. Now whether they want to admit it is another thing!

Gladly! I would say Trinity looks to have the upper hand at this time! Although X has the players to make it interesting during the regular season rivalry game, I think that Trinity, barring injury, should prevail if they meet in the playoffs. As I mentioned earlier and X fans don't want to hear, X has to have a clear advantage in talent(especially being dominant on the line) to win this game with the unimaginative schemes that Glaser uses and that doesn't appear to be the case at this point in the season. Things can always change with the injury bug.

Possibly you could take your expertise of the high school football scene and help the X coaching staff with the boys so that they won't continue to struggle so mightly with their competition each week?

I'm not sure I can agree on this! I think if you go back the past 5-6 years and look at the OVERALL talent on the team and in-season rankings/results, STX has had the advantage EVERY year yet could only win the title last year when Trinity just was nowhere close to them in talent level. I agree with the comment above that Trinity fans should hope that Glaser has many years left at X.

Not sure on the limits question. I would guess most of the students/girls never see one minute of the game rather they are socializing behind the stands and in the end zone area the whole game.

I agree with the above statements but I would point out that there are questions about all of these teams that will only be answered once the season starts Jtown- Will Kimbro be eligible and who will replaces the leadership and playmaking of Thomas Jackson at the point? With Dorsey, Kimbro, and the UL recruit they could be tough to beat Eastern- Were the best on paper last year(preseason favorite in about every 7th region poll) but no one stepped up to lead the team and they never seemed to gell. Who will be the leader of this group in 10-11? Ballard- Have Parker and Koolaid back but the rest of the players will be young, although talented. I think they lost too much to win in this year. Trinity- Also lost a TON with Sewell, Epley and Corbett gone but return a very talented group- With Hicks eligible they will be the favorite in 2012 and I would expect that they could upset the big 2 on any given night. Seneca- Have been discussed as a contender for the past two years but never reached their potential. Possibly, the coaching change may be a good thing as they also have some exceptional talent on the roster and I would not be shocked if they are there at the end. Male- never count out Crews as he proved last year when they almost won the regional final against Ballard! Moore- Once again I think Moore could be a sleeper I think Manual, CAL, Fern Creek, and StX are not near the level of the above teams, but they could surprise?

Cicny X just too big and too strong-Especially the running back He NEVER went down on first contact! Great test for Trinity and they really competed well against the best team they will probably face all year.
