#2 Saint Xavier (6A) will take on #2 Central (3A). You thoughts and predictions on this game.

Tigers in a blowout. I sense Central is not the same Central as in their past (recent ) glory days.

This is a perfect tune-up for the rivalry game next week. I say Tigers over the Yellowjackets 41-13.

Central is always a tough, physical fray for the Tigers. We come into this game all banged up, and if it goes as usual, we will come out of it even more banged up. With our top receiver out for the season, and our second receiver and top yardage running back both serving temporary suspensions, we will once again try to create field position advantages and points with our defense and special teams.

Offensively, St. X. will try to avoid mistakes by utilizing their conservative, old style, grind-it-out, return-to-the-mid-80's formula, which has served them well in past times of trouble. The only problem here is that the Tigers are missing the big experienced horses up front.

Much like last week against Male, this should be a low scoring, tight game.
