You may be correct but Ryle just had a motion penalty called and the T fans gave the refs a standing O. Must be a little ugly on the officiating.

Ryle playing well but T has had several first down plays and a touchdown called back for penalties. Ryle has one motion penalty?? T announcers getting rather upset.

Hunter Kopp and others will step up! Hate to see Steffey go out but the other guys have been working all year to step up if needed and I think they will.

I would agree but PRP took X to the wire just two weeks ago so they can't be all bad. Either that or X just hasn't improved much since the T game?

As I stated in the intial thread, Coach did it right! Didn't know the details and asked for them in my initial post.

I will be consistent as I complained about the record last week and say that if this game was decided early(and judging by the score I'm sure it was) then Central's coach is just as bad as Matney! If anyone has details to the contrary I will apologize in advance. Is there any sportsmanship left in high school sports??

I think this game will come down to whether Ballard's O-line can give the QB time to get the ball to Parker. If he is running for his life all night, I doubt the game will be close.

JC fans- I heard that the coach and player are related? Is there any truth to this and, if so, this may be another reason the coach was so intent on getting the record for the player.

I don't know how you can blame the kid for playing hard. I don't think anyone is upset at him. He should never have been put in this position!

Again. no disrespect to the kid but you know as well as I that a lot of this was a function of overwhelming an undermanned opponent as much as his ability. Does he have any offers for college yet?

I can see a coach telling his team not to tackle an opponent when we're talking about one of these stories about the handicap kids etc but to do it in an effort to set a record??? This just means the record is tainted. The Coach is a MOCKERY and has no place coaching and leading young men and if the principal of JC has any character this guy needs to be suspended, if not fired for this maneuver!! And no, my son didn't hold the previous record.

To me this is no big deal! As someone stated in this blog, the kid just kept playing which is what he was supposed to do but to have him in the game up that many points just to get a record shows the head Coach is a joke! I would assume you could insert any of 20-30 other running backs around the state in that game and they would have done the same thing! Not sure if anyone can do it this season but this Coach is setting his team up to get crushed by someone in the future and this is a classic example of why individual records are overrated!

Should be favorites for the 7th and state, along with Jtown. Lack of a floor leader appeared to be the issue last season so if they can resolve that they have the talent to win it all

Can't imagine Trinity would duck anybody since they're scheduling some of the best teams in Ohio, Tenn, and Indiana but I could be wrong. Beatty seems to want to play whomever he thinks will best prepare Trinity to win the state title.
