Eastern beats Ballard in LIT final

The 7th region is going to be a battle ...again this year.

What a tough region.

Remy Abell and Lyonell Gaines were too much for Ballard to deal with. Devante Parker dropped 28 but Eastern's maturity was too much for Ballard's youth after that. The biggest difference in the game was that Kameron Woods got into foul trouble which allowed Eastern Jr 6-3 Jr Percy Blade into the game which was actually a better matchup with Ballard's athleticism.

Blade had around 11-13 points including at 3-ptr at the buzzer in the end of the 3rd qtr that put Eastern up by 10. Blade made some big time plays. He's a player to keep an eye on next season. Blade is playing behind 6 seniors so he's one of "The best players you've never heard of." - Love that line

7th region is a MoFo!

Eastern, Ballard, J'town...man this region is loaded at the top with state heavyweights.

Congrats to Eastern on the W.

Way to go Eastern!

Ballard shoots something like 3-21 from three in this game after going 9-19 against Trinity.

If they hit their threes, they win the LIT.

I wasn't there so the question is whether the Eastern's D was contesting most of those shots or they just weren't falling?

You can say that about any High School game. If Eastern hits their 3's they win the KOB
