IMHO HHS has never been afraid to move an athlete onto the O-line. I once heard Dale say there is no place for a slow lineman on his team. He then went on to describe pushing the development of O-linemen down to the lower levels. That is why for years I have thought their O-linemen have footwork far superior to most other schools. I would be very surprised if that was a weak link in 2010.

I think plumber1 has the best advice. My son has shoes with 3 different screw in cleat lengths and changes them just like he said, depending on grass/turf old turf/new and wet/dry.

Jimmyref, That was really good....all except the fact that there is no "illegal procedure" penalty in the NFHS rule book. No matter how many times we hear it called.

It is hard to you with success. I would think you always want to keep moving forward and keep trying new things. Along those lines I would like the Birds faithful to comment on, is it me or does HHS seem to go for 2 on the PAT with a much greater frequency than other programs?

How about this idea: "Kids we're playing great and are winning big. I want you to fall on the ball on fumbles. No need to scoop and score. I want you to go to the ground or out of bounds on interceptions. I don't want you to field punts signal fair catch and let them roll. We are still gonna play hard! While I love tradition, go for lights. With Multiple football and soccer teams they would be used a great deal. I wasn't there but would lights have be a help at the freshman championship soccer game last night? Between football and soccer CCH has had so much success that I am shocked that the switch has not happened.

I thought Pulice (Ryle #24) looked great. I thought the typical Ryle, go for it on 4th down, was not the wise choice late. I thought they would let the Meade kid kick a field goal. I don't think it was any kind of whipping either way. Ryle's D-line looked good, but the inside LB's didn't seem to get off of their blockers to well. Of course that could be just very good blocking by the Highlands guards. All in all I would like to see a rematch.

Face guarding is a HS rule and the Referee should be watching the QB after the pass for roughing, not watching down field.
