The running clock began about two minutes into the second half.

There was a Scott player injured (looked like a leg or ankle) near the end of the game. Hope he is okay.

Good win for Highlands! Now it's time for the 'Birds to focus on the upcoming LexCath game... that will be a tough test!

Just interested, since this was senior night, did all seniors play? I wasn't at the game.

Anyone know who got hurt for Scott?

Nice job by the Birds. It will be a tough test but look for them to win against LexCath too.

Someone near me said that at least on defense (don't know about offense) that on the first series it was all seniors.

I have a little concern with the Birds. It seems they had a bit of a let down in the second half. In the first half they scored in the first 15 seconds. In the second half, it took a whopping 18 seconds.

Even though Scott was overmatched, their kids played hard and in my humble opinion they didn't give up.

It was the same against CCH. That says a lot about the young men.

It should be noted that Scott hung tough in the early going. After stopping the Birds on a series with Highlands leading 8-0, Scott drove all the way own to the 1 yard line before fumbling the ball away. This seemed to take the steam out of them, and it was over from there.

Believe it or not I think it was just cramps. He returned later in the game...

I really don't think so.

Congrats to HHS on another big district win... Hope Scott can keep their spirits up going down the stretch they have 3 of their final 4 at home: Newport, Dixie, @ Ludlow, and Henry County. They also still have an excellent shot at the playoffs as well...

Highlands keeps plugging away, it looks like it will be an undefeated showdown for the 5A state championship so far.

We said the same thing. You have to give it up to them for going through all the long practices in the summer and throughout the year only to get beat up on. That right there says a lot about those young men. Aren't they still in the playoff race?
