That was in fact Matt Young...don't know who the guy is but according to the boxscore it was him.

Congrats Matt and the other Ky affiliated officials for being selected to ref a championship game. Great honor for them and great recognition of the quality of officials we have in Ky. :thumb:

Matt was in fact the Referee in last nights National Championship game. He is in charge of the training program for the Northern Kentucky Officials Association and is a full time Ohio Valley Conference Referee. He still works a few high school games if his OVC schedule allows. This was a huge accomplishment for Matt and the others too. Matt not only continues to progess in his own career but he also use his knowledge to improve Ky high school football officiating at the same time. Having Matt as a part of the KHSAA and the NKOA is a huge asset.

And not to mention they did a fine job in that game as well.

Mr. Joest and Mr. Seewer - are KFOA Officials - from Louisville. Thought they did a great job as well. Congrats to all 3 - Ky guys.:thumb:
