  1. Don't like to play by the rules, let a judge who supports your community rule on it. Then try to strong arm the KHSAA, even though he was ineligable by the rules put forth by our athletic governing body. Many students have been ineligable under the same guidelines, their communities just don't have the same political power backing. This is a simple example of Highlands wanting to let the KHSAA know that it would be unwise to not comply with their wishes in the future, since they have entirely too much state political power. WHAT A JOKE.
  2. Your level of hate for Manning is almost astonishing. I am not a fan, but you are certainly a hater. Why?
  3. Very tough to argue against that logic.:thumb::thumb:
  4. That situation is very common among county schools that have small budgets. Not so common among schools that have the number of players of Lone Oak, and that have been to the state finals twice in the last four years.
  5. I think profit is for the people who own the business. Even the Chinese have figured out that it takes profit incentive to make an economy grow.
  6. Thank you Karl Marx. I will keep my eye open for the revolution.
  7. Your right. Miles simpson is gone, and Travis Elliot will be playing next year. You are living in the past season accomplishments, which were done with a senior oriented team. To think first year starters are going to replicate this performance is laughable.
  8. That sounds much more realistic. There is no doubt they lost talent up front. It just seems hard to say that they wont miss a beat.:idunno:
  9. I will have to disagree. They do not have replacements that will produce the same results. Of course, that will be seen soon enough.
  10. So you are saying losing one of the best lines I have seen in quite some time in our area isn't going to hurt them?
  11. Wow Wyatt, my hypocracy really knows no bounds.
  12. I am by no means saying the man should be replaced, I just think Trinity has a better coaching staff that is going to make them a better team for the majority of years to come.
  13. A drive that comes to mind would be the opening drive Ryle had on H in their first game. I don't want to knock the kid, but ISO was ran to his inside shoulder several times. Saying Elliot would not have started this year for Highlands isn't in the realm of reality.
  14. T was flat down this season. T had no answer man for man on the field this year starting way too many underclassmen, and some seniors that were getting handled up front. One masterful coaching decision that comes to mind would be running lead on 4th and goal from the 2 instead of kicking a field goal and going up by two scores with five minutes left in the game. If you are trying to compare the coaching job at these two schools in the last decade, you are looking through blinders.
  15. Talent also includes depth. No where close at any of those schools. A talented player doesn't make a talented team. I think there are multiple coaches in this state that could have accomplished what Glaser has done at X in the last ten years. There are very few if any that could have matched Beatty and staff's accomplishments at T. Keep in mind that I think Beatty has beaten X multiple times with lesser talent, and I am a fan of neither school.
  16. Didn't he go to Warren Central, dominate, and then head out west somewhere? On another note, I think comparing Glaser and Beatty in coaching ability is giving Glaser too much credit. When is the last time that X has a legit claim of beating a team with superior talent?
  17. I think that a difference in coaching is the reason that T has outperformed X in the last decade. However, looking at only numbers and draw, there shouldn't be any other team in this state that should compete with them regularly. Our continuing policies in this state are to break down school population numbers long before they get close to X or T. There is the occasional independent that is on their level due to selective admission, but there will never be a public high school in this state compete with their numbers as long as policy remains the same.
  18. I agree. I think it was an automatic hot call. The split was uncovered. They spied 21 under after the snap. I think the punter was coached to throw it if they ever leave a split uncovered. Either way, it is still a coaching decision.:thumb:
  19. I think that the number of parents that view a team's progress with an opened and unbiased mind are very limited LN. I am not saying that it doesn't happen, but I am saying it doesn't happen very often. I am of the opinion that parents should know in a program that their opinions or complaints will never affect decisions such as practice time, conditioning, playing time, and scheme. Coaches are professionals paid to do a job. I didn't agree with many things that the man did, but one of my favorite coaching quotes came from a former Highlands coach when he told a parent that was a plumber to stick to laying pipe, and he would stick to doing what he was paid to do. I think surveys like this make parents even more vocal with biased complaints because it gives them a sense that it will affect decision making.
  20. You said it all. The UC faithfull should be thankfull to the man for raising their program. I will repeat that this outrage was not heard when the man left CM before their bowl game. It was expected by the fans and players at UC. It should also be expected by all those involved at Notre Dame.
