  1. :thumb: That was a classic!! I'm surprised we don't see that happen more often. The hit on the Rutgers RB was one of the hardest tackles I have seen all year. I don't recall the Louisville player's name but it was a slobberknocker!!
  2. :thumb: Brooks mentioned in his weekly call in show that the Seniors expressed interest in playing in a different atmosphere. Memphis may not have been high on their list, but like you said, it is hard to be dissapointed with a chance to play in a bowl game.
  3. Congratulations to Coach Hoof and young Mr. Denton. Good things happen to good people!!:thumb:
  4. This was a behind the woodshed kind of game!!!!
  5. :thumb::thumb: And it warms the hands on a cold morning!!!!!
  6. Congrats to West Carter on the win. West is a very well coached team with some talented athletes and will be a tough opponent come tourney time. Great comeback effort by the Lady Rams. I liked the no quit attitude by such a young team. Keep working hard!!
  7. Stats are like a lamp post, they give great support but don't illuminate very much.
  8. LCA wins this one under the direction of their QB and great coaching staff. LCA 53 Hazard 16
  9. I can tell you that all the deer in my area despise the Oneida. They can be hard to tune but I found the key is to set them up and leave them alone. It seems like the guys that have the most problems are the ones trying to tinker with improvement. I set mine on 55lbs and shoot 2213 shafts 28 1/4" with 5" barred feathers. It is whisper quiet, smooth and I have had zero problems. One major thing that you have to be careful of, is bumping the bottom limb on something while in full draw. If this occurs, new cables and limbs are on the menu. They do look a little different, that is one reason why I like them. They also are the closet thing to a recurve ( in looks...see avatar) you can get without going back to the old school bow. No cable guard really sold me. I caught a lot of flack at the shooting ranges when I brought mine out of the case but it didn't take long before others were shooting them. It was good to see Uncle Ted shooting the same bow as I was. I think his bow of choice (like most TV pros) is whatever sponsor he has at the moment. The Bow-Tech you shoot is one of the smoothest bows I have pulled. The local Pro shop I visit sells Bow-Tech and all the guys there shoot them with great results. My next purchase may be a Bow-Tech.
  10. I started shooting in the 70's. My first bow was a Bear Kodiak Magnum recurve. Later came along the compound or as a local outdoor writer used to call them, "a pulley-bow" I have owned the Jennings T-Handle, Jennings Arrowstar, Bear Whitetail Hunter, Martin Warthog, Cougar II,and Cougar Magnum. I have hunted with an Oneida Eagle since the early 80's and it is still my favorite bow today.(Looks like a recurve and is as quite as a church mouse.) I won more tournaments and killed more game with my Oneida than any other bow I have owned. I still own two older model Ben Pearson bows, one a long bow and the other a recurve. My old bones are telling me I need to purchase a new cross-bow.
  11. From everthing I hear the Russell kids work their tails off to improve and enjoy doing so. From a coaches standpoint that is all you can ask for. If the kids continue with that mindset and believe in what the coaches teach, then great things can happen.
  12. . 10 pts.& 5 assist. Solid performance for a Freshman starting in her first game. Keeton led the Lady Rams in scoring with 14.
  13. Agree, but only if you let it. I have heard it for 30+ years. Now it rolls like water off a ducks back.
  14. Maybe Bassett will hire him as an assistant. PS.. the town where Bassett now coaches is named... Robstown!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Ram here are the stats I found on Jeremy. Rushing.. 91 att. 358 yds. 8 TD's Receiving..844yds. 6 TD's. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=63
  16. Louisville must be a fraud!!!!!! Congrats to WKU on the Victory!
  17. Nice road win to open the season for the Lady Rams. Congrats on the victory!
  18. It is a lot of work trying to get everything done correctly!! If you know of a local card shop in your area maybe talk with the owner and let him know that you have a collection for sale. If you have cards of value, he will show interest in your collection. If he is not interested, he may steer you in the direction of someone who is. If you find a buyer I suggest making the deal. You'll be surprised how much more room you'll have in your closets.
  19. My son sold his collection a few years ago to a local card shop owner. His collection contained Jordan's from his 2nd year until his retirement along with many other big name Rookie cards. All were graded. He banked approx. $1500 after the sale.
  20. I agree with you that the play calling has some real issues but Cobb is not an SEC caliber QB.
