Unlike last weeks performance, the Rams will have to play a complete four qtrs. If they wait until the 2nd half to play "Ram Football" this one will be over early. This game should be a lot of fun for all football fans as it will feature two of the best QB's in class A and it will be a long time before you will see three RB's with the talent of Denton, Carver and Hayden on the same night. Congrats to the Tomcats on the win!! Excellent game plan by the Ashland coaching staff and nice job by the kids to carry it out. Keep working hard Cats and best of luck the remainder of the season. My Prayers go out to R Carter. I hope his injury is not serious.

:thumb: You are correct Doc. However, WLGC also carries the Fairview games on a delay immediately after the Russell broadcast. I was thinking that since the Tomcats games are on radio maybe WLGC will broadcast the Rams/Eagles live.

These shutouts came against two teams who have scored a combined total of 32 pts. One has scored 7pts while the other has scored 25. The defense of these two teams also have given up 188 total pts. Tough to make a prediction based on shutouts with the opponent putting up stats like these.

You can throw out all the records in this game and nothing is predictable. I have watched many games between these two teams and was fortunate to play in a few as well. The atmosphere at Mossy Bottom will be sky high. Fairview has some talented athletes and in thier first few games have shown the ability to put the ball in the end zone. Their QB has played very well and given them a nice lift with his ability to run the ball. This week however, I think we see the Eagles go to the air more in this one. Their WR's can pose problems with their speed & height. Raceland is a very talented football team and do many things well on both sides of the ball. Their combo of the DC Express is as good as any RB tandem anywhere. T. Boyles is one of the most cerebral QB's I have seen at the high school level and his ability to lead is a big bonus. The Rams WR's have also shown they can make big plays and the o-line has played well all season. Raceland also plays physical on the defensive side of the ball and must do so in this game as well. This one stays close early but the Rams close the deal with a team effort on both sides of the ball. Raceland 36 Fairview 22

I like the physical attitude of the Tomcat defense and I think we see the offense get things rolling in this one. I'll take Ashland with the W. Ashland 26 Russell 10

I agree with you Strike. If a kid is willing to put forth the effort everyday in practice and works hard in the classroom I tip my hat to the young man. Some times playing a high school sport or being in a classroom is the only positive structure some of these young men receive. Not everyone has a family that supports them or has a mentor in their life on a daily basis and IMO there is no better way to learn some of life's lessons than being a part of a high school athletic program. If a head coach has a positive influence in just one young mans life then it is all worth the effort.

I have a few concerns about this game. 1. East Carter has given the Rams fits the last few years. 2. How will Rams perform after a week off? 3. Rams can't look at the Raiders performance against Fairview due to reason reason # 1. I'm positive the Raiders will be ready and the Rams must be focused to meet the challenge. The Rams need to come out aggressive and hungry for another W. This game is close early but the DC Express rolls in the 2nd half. Raceland 34 East Carter 8

Nice win for the Tomcats. I'm sure the kids played with heavy hearts after losing one of their own football family members this week. Staying focused in times like this shows a lot of character on their part. Congrats on the win!! Keep working hard and believing in each other and your coaching staff.
