Thoughts, predictions, and concerns.

I have a few concerns about this game.

 

1. East Carter has given the Rams fits the last few years.

2. How will Rams perform after a week off?

3. Rams can't look at the Raiders performance against Fairview due to reason reason # 1.

 

I'm positive the Raiders will be ready and the Rams must be focused to meet the challenge.

The Rams need to come out aggressive and hungry for another W. This game is close early but the DC Express rolls in the 2nd half.

The Rams shouldn't overlook a team that has beaten them two out of the last three years. If the same focus & intensity that existed at Ashland shows up in Grayson, it will be a long night for the Raiders. Rams need to execute & put this one away early. The Raiders are big & physical, but so are the Rams this year.

East Carter is down somewhat this year. I expect a Raceland win, but we all expected that last year, but East Carter came to play, and put one in the loss column for Raceland.

 

I don't expect Raceland to make the same mistake this year. And we have everyone healthy this year. I think Raceland rolls.

I think Rams roll big.

I don't see how a group of kids (Raceland) can look over a team (ECHS) that has flat out whipped them lately.

Hopefully the Rams will be out to make a statement and not go in so overconfident that they expect East to roll over and quit. I expect that our coaches will have thwem re focused and ready to play.

I believe the Rams are the best team in the region and not just on the small school scale I mean period. good luck Rams except when you play the Musketeers.

The key word is shouldn't!!! We are in the same boat on this one. Check my post again (# 1 concern) and you will see I stated exactly what you stated.:thumb:

I believe the Rams will prevail in this one. The seniors on this team will remember their mistakes from the past years and won't want to make them again.

I can’t think of any single area in which EC can hang with Raceland. The big challenge for this game is how seriously will the Rams take the Raiders? I don’t believe the week layoff will hurt Raceland, but when you have a game which on paper looks lopsided, the superior team will ignore the obvious and come out playing like they are already down 3 scores.

 

For the current season, it appears that these two programs are accelerating in opposite directions. Since 2000, the series between these two schools is 4 – 4. However, over the past five years, EC holds a 4 – 1 advantage over Raceland.

 

I believe the Rams will show the maturity of a solid team and play with a chip on their shoulders this Friday night. It looks like a little payback is coming to Grayson…get ready Raiders…the Orange Crush is coming.

^ Good post Painter and Ram players remember................ you are 1 and 4 vs. East in the last 5 years and if that can't keep you focused then I don't know what will.

The first time Raceland comes out and thinks they have already won a game, they will get their butts handed to them.

 

To be a great team, you have to win all the games that you should win, and win most of the games that you are not expected to win.

 

Simple fact is, good teams do not get beat by teams that they should beat, plain and simple. You have to show up and take care of business, no let downs.
