People can talk injuries all they want for the East game last year but how in the world does one explain the defeat at West? bigboy my only explanation for that is that there isn't one...other than we got outplayed . I addressed this in my earlier post 60, certainly no excuses here.

I hate to lose as much or probably more than anyone but when you do all you can do is give credit to where it is due and get back to work.................... and by the way, welcome to BGP:thumb:

Raceland got out played by both East Carter and West Carter last season. No excuses from me. Both of these teams came out to play and Raceland did not. True we had some injuries for the East Carter game, but I don't see that as an excuse. Our backups should have played just as hard and did not. East and West wanted to win and did.

By no means am I trying to make excuses for the Rams. Ram, you said it correctly....we were just outplayed! Truly, the injuries in the East Carter game helped substantiate the loss. Oldrambler, you are also correct, we are not good enough just to show up and take our win (west carter '07).

I'd recommend you all quit worrying about past seasons and focus on this season. Go out and have fun, don't bring anymore tension to the team as fans by talking about all the times East Carter has upset you. Enjoy the game. Raceland just as Russell still needs to proove to everyone that they are a legit team. That should be enough motivation for the players. Wanting to be respected is the best motivation in football, imo.

 

If you all are this anxious over this weeks game with this EC team. All of you all are going to have to take week 10 off from work.

In my opinion, I am more worried about the weeks leading up to week 12 then I am about week 10, week 11 for Raceland. It's all about getting ready for the playoffs, nothing more. Week 11 will help, but is not even on the radar yet.

 

By the way another two year agreement for Raceland/Russell has been signed.

Is Raceland really that good? I haven't seen them play and don't know much about them...I was just surprised to see them in 1st place of the Litkenhous Ratings over Beechwood and LCA.

Be careful of reading much into those ratings........... I've known too many teams in the past that thought they were so good, they forgot to play on friday nights!!!!!!
