If Raceland scores more the 40, I will be shocked. I'm not saying that Raceland is going to dominate, but even if they did, Coach Vanderhoof never allows that many points to be scored. It sometimes hurt the perception of Raceland around the state (a team will beat another team by 50, then Raceland plays the first team and only scores 35), but he does not care about that, he will not run the score up on anyone. That is why you rarely see Raceland score more then 35 points.

 

I'm not saying it won't ever happen, I'm just saying it is very rare.

 

I don't think it will matter in this game anyway, I expect a hard fought game with a relatively close score.

 

 

Good point Ram and very true. Coach Hoof always shows respect for the opponent and rarely, if ever, lets him team put up alot of points in a blow out. This is one of the reasons why I think Coach Hoof has gained the respect of so many coaches around the state.

I didn't know this. East really does play better against the Rams.

I can't stay off here........I believe that Raceland has had 2 weeks of good, focused practice and I am confident that the loss last year still stings. I look for a lot of smash mouth football. Remember, last year we went into the East game with nagging injuries and we lost Denton late in the 2nd qtr with a shoulder sprain. We were winning at that point. (Also, I believe Carver was out with mono.) I think if we stay healthy, it could be another 2006 version of East vs Raceland.:dancingpa

I hope you are right doc, the injuries did hurt us last year. This year we are healthy, I hope Raceland comes out focused and takes care of business.

I realize that Doc we did have a lot of players out for several games last season and although that hurts I don't like using it as a crutch. A team has to play regardless of injuries. If I remember right, Raceland just didn't play well that night. That coupled with the fact that East wasn't a "sisters of the poor" type team by any stretch.

My point is that others have to pick each either up and if someone is out then someone has to step up. I hope and pray that we can stay healthy as well but imo the bottom line is that the Rams have to come out focused and ready to play. We lost a game at the end of the regular season that we should have won as well.

 

Raceland is not good enough to overlook teams....any team and win.

This Rams team can be very good or they can be very average, is up to them and they have to "Bring It" every time out.

 

I believe that our coaching staff will have had them work, corrected some mistakes from the Ashland game (and there were more than few), have them focused and ready to play some Raceland fotball! :ylsuper:
