Russell’s “micro season” starts next week finishing up the regular season with some stout competition. The Devils will travel to Simon Kenton next Friday night.

I don't know after watching last night's game. If SK plays that poorly against Russell, then the Devils will have a fun ride back down the AA.

Should be a good game,depends on which team shows up to play.Dont think either team is really over powering,will see what the Devil's are made of,contender's or pretender's.........

How is Drew Abrams doing heard he hurt his knee hope it is not to serious. Good kid and same for his family.

I think Wildcat Willy said it all. This is the week we begin to find out if this Russell team is a contender or a pretender.

 

Last week, these two teams faced polar opposite competition. Simon Kenton lost to powerhouse Boone County. Russell destroyed winless Lewis County. In reality, I'm not sure as to the outcome of this game, but my heart picks Russell.

^^^In reality, Im not sure how this one will play out either ryan. SK has had the type of season which neither the winning or loosing streaks have been more than ONE. Russell, although a solid team is, IMO, still searching for some identity and dealing with perhaps less talent than the Red Devil teams over the last 7 years or so.

 

One thing is for certain, finishing out their regular season against SK, Mason and the finale with Raceland will be the toughest stretch Russell has had all season…we all will find out just what these Devils are made of.

I like Ivan McGlone and his Devils, but I think he is in over his head against both SK and Raceland. He should do all right with Mason County, Russell is still a good team.

I think SK will be just a bit too much for the Devils this Friday. I'm not too sure Russell has seen a Rb like Miles Simpson this year.

The micro season inference was used to describe Russell’s three final regular season opponents. It has been discussed ad nausium on BGP about the Devils weak schedule/district but these last three games should provide Russell legitimate competition.

SK coming off of a loss to Boone Co. will be looking to make someone pay.

 

I don't think this year's devils are tough enough to go into SK's house and hand them a loss.

They better be ready, if they have any heart at all they should be foaming at the mouth after Friday's debacle.
