Raceland looks to finish off the district undefeated. Can we do it and stay focused on this game without looking ahead to Russell? Remember, One game at a time and we are 0-0, looking to win one this week.

Forgot to add the poll, can a mod please do so? I'd appreciate it.

Of all threads, I have been looking forward to this one! This should provide some good entertainment from the Raceland fans building up Nicholas County as if they could pose a legitimate threat to the Rams. You guys have done a good job with the "Greenup picked you for their Homecoming game" and "Paintsville leads the all-time series" mantras the past few weeks. :) Let me see if I can provide a head start on this one:

Nicholas County beat West Carter this year AND West Carter beat Raceland last year. How's that for early motivation? :)

In all reality, my pick is Raceland 62 Nicholas County 7. I look for the Rams to miss an extra point and for Nicholas County to score a touchdown late.

Done.

This is Raceland's longest trip in the regular season, I hope they react well with having to travel.

Raceland will be OK, if they show up ready to play, and don't overlook Nicholas County. Over looking someone could spell cotastrophy for the Rams.

Also, Raceland needs keep their emotions under control, no ejections. We have had several players ejected against Nicholas over the years. We do not need that to happen this year. Raceland has played all year with level heads, and we need to keep it that way.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of this fact. Now I can worry all week about this. We were far superior to WC last year and they absolutely embarrassed us. If we do not come out mentally prepared for this game, Nicholas Co. will embarrass us!!!!!

We have to play focused and execute. TCB again this week, boys!!!!!

I must admit that I was thoroughly surprised at that West Carter-Raceland result from last year. For that matter, I was surprised at the Russell-Raceland result from last year, too. From everything I have read about this year's Raceland team, though, it doesn't seem there is much chance of them having a let down against an inferior opponent like Nicholas County. Isn't the core of Raceland's team the seniors who played in those games last year? If so, it is probably good that they have been through what it feels like to "let down" and most likely won't let it happen again.

:thumb: Very good point Ram, our players need to show more dicipline than they have played with all season. Should Raceland have anyone ejected in this one then they will also be out in the next week.

As I and others have said all season, this team has to stay focused, play each play, stay diciplined, concentrate on their assignments and game plan.

Rams, you no doubt will be a heavy favorite. Some thing for you to remember......

*You are not good enough to overlook anyone!

* Raceland has had an unbeaten regular season!

* Raceland has been unbeaten in our district plenty of times!

*Raceland has had plenty of very good defensive teams before, I believe it was Coach Vanderhoof's senior year that they went the first 5 or 6 games with no one scoring on them!

Those are just a few of fthe top of my head. Rams, you get the point....as of now, you have had a very good season and have the potential to have a very special season but that takes more than talk, you have to go out and prove it night after night. Right now you haven't done anything at Raceland that has not been done before, it is up to you if you want to set the bar higher than it has been at Raceland in the past.;)

Is there some sort of Raceland-Nicholas County rivalry I don't know about? Someone mentioned that Ram players have been known to get ejected in the Nicholas County game. Is Nicholas County known for being a dirty team or something?

I'll take the Rams in a blowout. 54-6

A Championship caliber team must prepare for each opponent without any distractions. This week is no exception . Nicholas Co. will come out fired up and ready to send Raceland home with a loss. The Rams must stay focused and ready to carry out the coaches game plan. I believe they do just that.

This is a good week for the Rams to come out take care of business quick and get the young guys some valuable minutes while the starters rest.
