Had some time on my hands at work this evening. So I broke down a few of Racelands top players. All stats are according to the results on khsaa.org. And does not include racelands last game vs. Paintsville.

 

Denton- 88 rushes for 729 yards, 8 receptions for 116 yards, 5 rushing TD's, 23 solo tackles, 32 assists.

 

Carver-68 rushes for 492 yards, 20 receptions for 338 yards, 9 rushing TD's, 2 receiving TD's, 19 solo tackles, 12 assists.

 

Boyles-13 rushes for 50 yards, 41 of 85 pass attempts for 889 yards, 2 rushing TD's, 8 passing TD's, 29 solo tackles, 23 assists, 2 interceptions(1 returned for a TD), 2 fumble recoveries.

 

Kelly-18 rushes for 113 yards, 8 receptions for 18 yards, 2 rushing TD's, 25 solo tackles, 47 assists.

 

Selvage-15 receptions for 336 yards, 6 recieving TD's, 30 solo tackles, 12 assists.

 

Logan-18 solo tackles, 13 assists, 4 fumble recoveries(1 returned for a TD)

 

Chinn-16 solo tackles, 16 assists.

 

Raceland has also out scored their opponents 333-119 this year.

Also if raceland wins friday evening it will be racelands 4th district championship in 10 years.

 

Keep in mind I was compiling these stats from khsaa.org. Im not sure how accurate they truly are. The fact I was reading them from my cell phone creates room for personal error on my part as well.

 

The tremendous defensive stats coming from Racelands QB:scared: is very impressive in my mind!:thumb:

How about this little tidbit: Something happened to this year’s Raceland seniors when they played Nicholas Co last year as juniors…and that is, they allowed Nicholas to control the tempo of the game and narrowed the margin of victory from the 40’s down into the teens. The history of these two groups of players shows that as freshmen, Raceland won 52 – 8…as sophomores, again Raceland wins 54 – 6…then as juniors, the Rams only won by 17 with the final score 29 – 12. The point is, the margin of victory went from 44 to 48 then to only 17. I know….a win is a win is a win…but I would think that the Ram linemen would want to make a statement in this game. True, Raceland should win on Friday…but will they squeak out a victory, or play with a chip on their collective shoulders?

Ram players.....right now Nicholas County is the only game on your schedule, past games ths season mean nothing as far as this game is concerned. The two remainng games are not here yet and are not district......this one matters!!
