  1. Well Copperstown I hate to burst your bubble, but the coach I talked about in the first game was the same guy yelling that #29 was a cheap shot artist. That's the plain and simple truth. I was vey close to him when he said it and saw the words leave his mouth. I only mentioned minister because it was mentioned in a post after the first game. Whether he is a minister or not I might be mistaken about, but I'm deadly accurate about what he said tonight during the game.
  2. Tyler Fennell was very very good tonight.
  3. I was chastised the first game we played Ryle for pointing out his antics and was told he was a very nice guy, a preacher I believe. Though tonight I did not hear him say to take out any players he repeated many times that #29 for Highlands was a cheap shot artist. All I have to say to you sir is that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I'm sure you've heard that one before.
  4. I look for the Birds to make a strong statement tonight.
  5. Meant to vote for FC - Good luck in the playoffs
  6. People cry when UK used to lose during the tournament in the late 90's. See for us UK fans thats not unnatural. I know it may be hard for you Duke fans to understand. And yes the Sean Woods shot was amazing but the ones I posted were game clinchers. :thumb:
  7. Assuming what you stated is accurate I'm sure Dale thought beating two of Ohio's powerhouses in one year would have been to demoralizing. He's trying to be a kinder, gentler coach.
  8. As a Highlands fan I have a tremendous amount of respect for Ryle's program. You didn't duck or hide and stepped up twice this year against a nationally ranked team. Thank you for giving us a game so late in the year. You will be a better football team for doing it and I will be rooting for you in the playoffs.
  9. Its ok....the recent news that Wall will be cleared adds to the fact the Wildcats have been brought back to the promised land. Parity in college basketball in now over. Welcome back to the late 90's! UK is here to stay! :thumb:
  10. thought you might like this one.... Or even this one :sssh: Go Cats!
  11. I'd be absolutely shocked if Miller didn't start. Just my opinion though. :idunno:
  12. There are going to be so many different combinations out there playing this year its going to be crazy. But the first 5 to start vs. Campbellsville imo are Wall, Bledsoe, Miller, Patterson, and Cousins. The only one that may change imo is the SG spot. The others are basically locks to start. Either way we have 2 top 25 teams on this team! GO CATS!
  13. I think the lost to Henry Clay will keep haunting SK as far as rankings. Henry Clay only beat a winless Madison Central by two touchdowns last week. I believe NC handled Madison Central without a lot of trouble.
  14. I also watched the video of the game. I would not have said this before the game on Saturday, but after viewing the tape the Birds are very capable of putting up 60 again on the Colonels.
  15. If you're complaining about flags, clock, announcer, and the music in a J.V. game, then maybe you need to adjust your priorities. Last year Cov.Cath. whipped Highlands J.V. and that turned out to be meaningless. If I'm a Highlands fan I would be pleased with the performances of several underclassman.
  16. If you were referring to me ft bronc this is what I said in the post, "I tried to give you some inside information. Apparently it wasn't enough as you are picking Cov. Cath. over Highlands." The statement I made seems pretty benign. Should I assume most votes are by accident?
  17. CovCath had around 60 yards of total offense
  18. Manual is a very good team Highlands only beat them by 11
  19. I tried to give you some inside information. Apparently it wasn't enough as you are picking Cov. Cath. over Highlands. :ohbrother:
  20. Highlands wins this game Saturday without a tremendous struggle. When you watch the game Saturday the most noticeable difference you'll see between the two teams is how long their respective plays take to develop. Speed is often talked about when you mention Highlands, but it's actually explosiveness at the snap of the ball. Perhaps some might see speed and explosiveness as being synonymous, but I really don’t. When I picked Highlands over St. X I explained how I thought it would happen. Besides “its senior day”, “it's a rivalry”, “it's at Cov. Cath”, “they hate other”, “pride”, I would love to hear from some Cov. Cath. folks how they're going to get it done on Saturday. Fair enough hopefully.
  21. I was tempted to start a thread about your comment, which I think is a good observation. I think Mr. Ernst's omission begs the question, "Has the Highlands v. Covington Catholic football match-up lost some of the magic?" I know it's a little early, but even on BGP there just doesn't seem to be the build up that there has been in the past.
  22. Very sorry to hear this. Prayers to his family and the Dixie football community.
  23. Sorry Malachi I gave ya some bad information. They don't have anything today.
  24. Dale gave them Saturday morning off and if I'm not mistaken, films occured Sunday morning. Probably has something to do with the present Bye week. :thumb:
