Final

Birds without Collinsworth took control early and held on too it. Boone was able to move the ball. But in the end another team not equiped to deal with Highlands' polished passing game.

Was AC hurt tonight?

I thought the Birds looked crisp in the first half. Nice job without Collinsworth playing. The second half was about as dull as I have seen! Lots of reserves in for Highlands.

Ps: It was nice to honor Mr. Fennell and Mr. Rice before the game!

He did not dress.

He did not dress.

Right. So was he hurt?

Right. So was he hurt?

Yeah thought I heard hamstring. Odds are it was known he wouldn't be needed tonight and Bardo sat the whole second half as well.

So what's up with Collinsworth?

I didn't mind the train horn taking place of the cannon but they gotta get rid of that song after they score a TD... they blast that thing right in your ear and I felt like I was at a middle school dance.

What song? I bet LN picked it.

Does Bardo throw a great ball or what? I just saw some highlights and wow!

Great first half execution by Highlands. Bardo was so trapped for a safety, it was amazing to see him step out of trouble and turn up field for the first down. The Birds were flagged for 15 about three times, and several on-target balls were dropped. By this stage in the season, I'm suprised to see these problems. Mr. Charles Q for the Rebels is truely a great running back. The huge crowd made for a great atmosphere. IMO, the TD celebration music is pretty dorky, but the loud horns are a suitable replacement to the boom.

Yes. All he needs is more reps and a bit more strength.

It sounds to me like once again tonight Bardo was lofting the ball up and his speedy receivers were running under it. Bardo has a good arm but the Bluebird receivers are what impresses me. Correct me if I am wrong because I was not at the game. I am very interested in seeing the Bluebird passing game go against St. X next week. I have a feeling St. X. will have the speed to match the Bluebird receivers and they will put more pressure on Bardo than he has seen all year. Bluebird fans have to be excited about finally getting to see how they stack up against the best of the best.
