It sounds to me like once again tonight Bardo was lofting the ball up and his speedy receivers were running under it. Bardo has a good arm but the Bluebird receivers are what impresses me. Correct me if I am wrong because I was not at the game. I am very interested in seeing the Bluebird passing game go against St. X next week. I have a feeling St. X. will have the speed to match the Bluebird receivers and they will put more pressure on Bardo than he has seen all year. Bluebird fans have to be excited about finally getting to see how they stack up against the best of the best.

It may be dorky, but it keeps the kids into the game. That was the biggest student section I have seen in a long time.

Tonight was a GREAT night for football in the Fort! The place was packed, the HHS student section was rockin' and the weather was a perfect night for football. Looked like the celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Ft. Thomas Junior Football league.

 

On the field, things were business as usual. The Birds handled the Rebels about like they should. I predicted a 28 point differential so I wasn't too far off. I personally was impressed with Highlands safeties that weren't afraid to get in the dog pile and mix it up a little. Bardo looked good, but you could tell that all his weapons weren't in the huddle tonight. (AC)

 

I think I saw that the HHS class of 99 was celebrating their 10 year reunion tonight. That was the best team that I have ever seen at HHS. With the likes of Lorenzen, Smith, Gibson, Ulbricht and a cast of others. THOSE were the true untouchables Ft. Thomas style!! Nice to see the Birds of yesteryear supporting the current squad!

The score was 36-7 at half. Bardo didn't play at all in the 2nd half and Collinsworth didn't dress. It could of been really ugly if they wanted it to be. I believe Dale has been holding some stuff back for next week. I guess we'll see..:thumb:

This is what I have been saying all along. They could have named the score in this one.

People hated Highlands for years because of the cannon. Now they'll pity us because of the song. What a joke.
