Birds beat the Wildcats 10-0 in 5 innings..Hopefully the bats have come alive...:ylsuper:

Newport has struggled a bit but still a nice win for the Birds. Sainola 2R-HR in first set the tone and stringing some hits late ended with Liggett ending it with a two-run triple. Corey Dill threw a one-hit shutout....good effort by all in a game that quite frankly should be a W for HHS.

They have the "Banquet" game on Tuesday against Cincy St. X at Highland Park. What's the "Banquet" game you might ask. Uh the last two games against Cincy St. X in '06 and '07 were victories for the Birds at Cincy St. X. Their coach told Coach Johnson (former HHS Coach) now you have something to talk about at your year end Banquet. Hopefully this year is the same. We'll see!!!
