  1. I want John Gruden/Bob Stoops/Urban Meyer/Tony Dungy. In my opinion I think Notre Dame will have one of these 4 at the helm next year. And just like Calipari is doing at UK, the next coach will bring the Fightin' Irish back to the promised land!
  2. For all the film watchers. Have you ever been to a horse race and watched a horse win by 10 lengths and say, "wow what a horse." After the race you learned the horse ran in a $5000 claiming race. You watch the horse run again a couple of weeks of later in a stakes race and he finishes near the end. I know it’s desirable to be politically correct on here and I appreciate that, but the realities are is that John Hardin hasn't lined up across a Schlosser, Combs, Beck, Grubbs, Meyer, and Welz. They haven't faced runners like Collinsworth, Bardo, and my favorite Fennell. And oh yea and young inexperienced QB who can throw it about 60 yards. John Hardin hasn't faced a linebacker like Brandon Roller who will knock your teeth out and offer his hand to pick you up off the ground. Some say he does that because he's such a nice boy. I say he does it because he can't wait to do it again. John Hardin hasn't faced corners like Abner and Bruns who make you pay for every catch or a safety like Rosenhagen. Most importantly John Hardin hasn't faced the so very many that I failed to mention. The many who will have given the last 11 months of their lives to get on that field Friday night for one play and say it was worth of every bit of it. So Highland’s fans don't get to enamored with tape other than seeing what formations the other team may use. Instead remember who your personnel are and the dedication they've demonstrated over nearly the last year. This team has played and beaten the very best. I assure all that there will be a Highlands victory Friday night. By how much? Who cares! If you ever start to doubt or waiver just say to yourself "Roller, Collinsworth," and then you'll quickly come back to reality. Safe travels for all Friday night!
  3. Chick-Fil-A representative was in the post game press conference and was seen speaking to Brooks... I'd put my last dollar on them playing in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta vs. Georgia Tech/Clemson.
  4. Who just whooped a ranked Oklahoma team! :thumb:
  5. Lets hope win number 2000 is vs. Drexel at home...It'd be a great birthday present to me and because Im going!:ylsuper:
  6. Way above my aptitude level I assure you.
  7. Well then I hope Michael averages 200 yds. a game then.:isurrender: There should be an egg on face smiley.
  8. I see. I thought you were just stating the obvious. I hope there aren't any "Bluebird" fans thinking otherwise.
  9. I hope they come to play. Why wouldn't they? I assume as I hope Highlands does that every team they play comes to play and hopes to beat them.
  10. Great article on Michael. I don't know him, but he sounds like a wonderful young man. Michael I hope you average 400 yards catching over the next two games. 400 against JC and none against Highlands:) In all seriousness continued success and thanks for an inspiring article.
  11. This is the scariest game of all this Friday. I saw Manual play much earlier in the year and they are very athletic. Next to St. X Cincinnati IMO it was the most athletic team Highlands faced all year. Simpson will have to have a great game, which I'm sure he probably will.
  12. I agree with the rich part. "Rich in tradition", "Rich in history", but most of all "Rich in work ethic." That's why there will be no whipping this Friday.
  13. This is not really even close to being accurate. It is your lack of balance that will ultimately be your demise. I would love to see you knock those guys off in Louisville and hope I can get back on here on Saturday morning and have crow for breakfast.
  14. Just because a team plays the Birds tough doesn't mean the Birds took anything for granted. There were several fumbles in that game from a back that was freshly returning. Bryan Station was good and very athletic. That was the reason for the close game.
  15. I think Cov. Catholic squeaks by. I really thought Cov. Catholic would have handled Woodford Co. in a much easier fashion yesterday. That doesn't bode well for them when you realize Woodford only beat Montgomery Co. by 6. If JC's defensive effort against Scott is an accurate barometer then Cov. Catholic should be ok.
  16. I say play Stevenson over Harris...Harris just isnt explosive enough for me...Im not a Harrelson fan. He wont shoot like he did in Big Blue Madness/Blue White game in real games. He freezes up and you saw it today when he had to re tip in his missed layup. Stevenson showed assertiveness when he was in there tonight. Harris can be our Bruce Bowen off the bench but that is about it imo. Just some thoughts from the game.... GO CATS!
  17. Have you noticed their helmets? They only have the same blue stripe and I think thats what being symbolized here... People need to quit crying about such unimportant things!
  18. I'll let this go, but I don't mind a coach saying it either. I just thought it was more of the the pot calling the kettle black. :isurrender:
  19. Well that's admirable that he does those things. I'm just telling what the coach I saw tonight said. My statement is not unfounded. I'm sure if you ask him if he said that #29 was a cheap shot artist he would tell you yes. He is a very boisterous guy that sticks out when he's yelling. It just happened to be in front of the highlands crowd. Cooperstown really had the better argument. "So what if he said it." I listened to the coach a lot tonight. I did not hear him say to take anybody out.
