goforit Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I just heard from a friend that Coach Rudd from Dixie passed away suddenly last night. Apparently he had been sick the past few weeks but nothing serious. He collapsed at home last night. He had just graduated from Dixie in 2006 and was around 21 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends and the entire Dixie family.
PutMeInCoach Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I didn't know him personally but I had a few classes with him and he seemed like a real good guy. Terrible news.

RyleRAID34 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Coach Rudd's father is the head freshman coach at Ryle and his younger brother plays at Cooper. Prayers go out to the family, Dixie, Ryle & Cooper football families. He will surely be missed.

CooperPride Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Hard to deal with something like that, the Cooper, Dixie, and Ryle communities will struggle for a time to come with this. Prayers to the family. Heard about this last night, and it is tragic! Hopefully the friends, players, coaches, families, etc. can rally around the members of this family and help them through.
Eagle 4 Life Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Very sad. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.

Do not leave out the Boone County football community which Jim Rudd and his brothers were a big part of in the 70s and early 80s.
