Why did these 2 play again? With all of Dixie's varsity opponents local, I figured they'd just play all their JV teams.

BW played Dayton (No JV team) and Dixie played Scott (No JV team) on Friday night. Instead of neither one playing at all, they played each other.

And I am going to take a complete guess and say that the reason Beechwood and Dixie will play a 3rd game in 3 weeks is that it is Dixie's bye week. Beechwood also is playing a 2nd JV game against Highlands in two weeks.

That's because CovCath's JV is sooo much better than Dixie's, right? That topic was well covered in another thread.

Per a Beechwood parent, Beechwood had to cancel the JV Cov Cath game because of too many injuries from the night before. Beechwood just don't have the number of boys Cov Cath has available for a JV game obviously!

Correct, it was an injury issue (in particular, no healthy QB) except it wasn't just from the night before. That is what was covered in the other thread.
