  1. Totally agree Gryche11. I've seen a lot of "put together athletes" and from a physical prospective this kid, (Sullivan) is a man among boys. He will intimidate a lot of high school kids before the game even starts. He's going to Notre Dame this week. I'm anxious to see how he does. He will need to stay healthy, which has been a problem for him at times.
  2. It's really not elite, though there are a few elite players at the camp, the bottom line is you pay you'll get an invite.
  3. I know a kid who was invited, but is not attending because of the nearly $600 price to attend.
  4. Im thinking with a lineup of Knight, Lamb, Dodson, Jones, and Kanter is a top 5 lineup in the country next year. It will take a while to mesh but once we do watch out! GO CATS!
  5. There is going to have to be a complete turn around in CCH's defense. They've given up over 90 points and over 900 yards of offense to Highlands in the last two games. More than a sprinkle will be needed.
  6. I would rather see Highlands pick-up Lexington Catholic next year.
  7. I watched Cov. Cath. play against Highlands last year. I thought their secondary did a pretty good job against the pass. Though there were several passes completed the Highlands receiver was brought down pretty quickly. This may have hurt them against the run, but IMO next to St. X Ohio, Cov. Cath's pass defense was as good as Highlands saw all year.
  8. Hempel from what I was told looked good at Ohio State last week. This wasn't from some clueless Rivals or Scout expert, but was from some of the actual participants.
  9. Towles moves pretty well for a bigger QB. http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=4874259#video
  10. You have hit the proverbial nail right on the head. :thumb:
  11. You're assuming he's being recruited strictly as a QB.
  12. Towles's size and really suprising speed have recently turned some heads. It will not be all on him either. Highlands is still loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.
  13. Ryle kind of like a good stock portfolio will need to diversify a little more. They don't want to become the Johnson Central of the north, where they rely so much on the running game that they have to play perfect football in order to win. Ryle will beat most teams with their running game alone, but to beat the elites they're simply going to have to go to the air a lot more. I'm sure their coaching staff will make those adjustments.
  14. Leslie was quoted as wanting to play with Knight in college and the only school they have in common is KY...Leslie will be in a Kentucky uniform next year! I'd be shocked if anything different happened.
  15. I like Bruns quite a bit. I've recently not seen a more physical DB in Northern KY.
  16. This tournament I believe cost a couple of hundred bucks to play in it.
  17. Size has never really been an issue with CCH. Actually their size has been pretty impressive. IMO it's their explosiveness off the ball that's really been their achilles heel.
  18. He's going to be a load this year.
  19. Could not agree more. The fact that NC was still in the game when Pangallo's scoring line was 0 2 2 is amazing
  20. Since Ryle and Boone have to be on opposite sides of the Regional bracket, NCC's path to the Regional title will have to go through them both, assuming of course Boone and Ryle win their 1st round games or NCC plays Ryle in the 1st round. Good luck to all teams remaining. It would be a huge upset for anyone other than Boone, Ryle, or NCC to win the Region. Given the past upsets in the 9th, I'm picking Ryle to cut down the nets.
  21. jumpball - Really, REALLY a shame that one of them must sit out the regional! Both teams have been in the top 25 in the state much of the year! So, what other team is likely to go on from that district? Bellevue beat Newport last night for a berth in the District Championship on Friday night.
  22. I was joking when I made the comment. My comment was directed at the poster who said that Boone Ryle and NCC have a legitimate chance to win the 9th. "Panda" asked about Highlands and the poster said his opinion was based on recent play. Hence my comment.
