It will be a good game if Tabor can be discipline and not get into early foul trouble. If she gets into foul trouble Towles will hurt them in the paint. Sandfoss will control Allen. The role players will be the key...IMO

The ranking were shocking today. NCC got more first place votes than Team Nell. Whats up with that?

This game could clear up the 9th region picture some if one team or the other wins impressively ( like 10+), but probably it will be a close game in which case nothing will really be different. I'm not sure what "controlling " Allen means, but if it means holding her to single digits I don't think that will happen. They probably will offset each other if Sandfoss doesn't get in foul trouble. She has a tendicity to commit dumb fouls when she gets frustrated and NCC can't afford for that to happen. Towles may have as much trouble staying out of foul trouble as Tabor. Should be an interesting game if the weather doesn't interfere.

NCC has been playing very well of late. Bartels and Theim will have to have good games for the Breds to get the win in this one.

Highlands will have to bring their "A" game if they even want to think about beating the Breds on "The Hill". HHS will have to match the ND performance and then some in order to compete with a much more talented and much deeper NCC team. NCC is the best team in the 9th Region at the moment and unfortunately the Birds will run into that buzzsaw Friday nite. Look for the Birds to use this game as a barometer for the rematch in a month or so. GO BIRDS!! 20n10.

I would bet Nell wouldn't vote for Boone, nobody should want to be the front runner. Then you have the Boone haters, mainly jealousy. Then the Moss transfer which most don't like.

 

NCC was favored at the end of last season but Sanfoss got hurt before the final so it is a logical Vote to put them on top, for some.

 

I think the coaches have it right at this point in the season. Boone is the team to beat but it is a real race to win this region. This game will decide the top contender at mid season.

 

Highlands looks solid, NCC is solid and Boone is looking to repeat. Good stuff.

This certainly wasnt plan on the Girls end of it. The NCC/HHS matchup was originally scheduled and set to be played this past Monday. Dont know exactly why this game was changed. :idunno:20n10

Don't know about the District game, but I'm pretty sure she held Allen to 5pts during the regular season game @ HHS last season. If the 9th region ref's let them play...she'll can do it again. Of course, 9th region ref's are "like a box of chocolates".

Someone mentioned the coaches for Boone and New Cath were scouting the Highlands NDA game but the New Cath players were also on site watching. You can bet both sides are gearing up for this one and that only means it should be a good one to watch. Remember though it is still mid season and it only carries short term bragging rights to the victor.
