I guess I got so use to it being bad that I don't even think about it. I think if Whackem'n' Stackem purchased a new PA system Dale might name it after him. Whackem could become part of Highlands Folklore.

This is an antiquated way of thinking that rarely works in any facet of life. I can tell you that chronic yellers and screamers are tuned out by most players. Coaches that walk up to players and explain to them why what they did was wrong and how to correct it, resonates a lot more with players. Have you ever watched what a little league coach coaching 3rd base does when the batter swings at a ball 10 feet over his head? Generally, the coach with his arm well above is head demonstrates to the kid what just happened, jumps up and down at yells, “the ball was 10 feet over your head, what are ya doing swinging at that?” I would love to see just one time, some kid other than my own respond, “Yea, no duh, coach.”

I don't think so Ru. Boyle County and maybe Lex. Cath. are really the only bright spots in Central KY Football. Look at what Ryle did to Henry Clay. It shocking to me that schools of that size can't field better teams. Imagine if Scott County meets Trinity in the finals again.

He_ _ yes it's an upset. Commerce will come to a halt, the number of post on here will quadruple in size, kids in Ft. Thomas 20 years down the road will talk about the night the Mighty Birds went down at DCM. Should Heck freeze over and Scott County win they better enjoy it, because it won't be long before Scott County High School #2 is built anyway.

You don't chase receivers as well when you're gassed. So did the Boyle players get really stupid the second half? I don't think so.

Highlands has lost something like 2 games in the last 5 years. They're 59-2 since 2008. Back to reality hugh? I've heard that one a few times over the last decade.

Boyle simply ran out of gas. Highlands has way to much depth and it really showed in the second half.

Using a horse racing analogy this game for Highlands is like starting your first race of the year in the Kentucky Derby. There is a significant drop in class in races they'll run in after the Trinity game. Horses dropping in class generally do pretty well.
