I think that NCC and Ryle will have something to say about it.

I predict I will be there to watch whomever takes down the title. Boone is playing in top form at the right time with Ryle and NCC right behind them so it will probably be Highlands. It is the 9th Region so expect the unexpected.

Any one of the big 4 can win it. Ryle is clicking and so is Boone. Highlands has the talent to beat anyone. NCC plays great d. It is anyone's title to win. My heart says NCC my brain says Boone. Should be fun to watch!

When teams are this close I always go with the team with the best player, and that is Boone. Their coach doesn't hurt them either.

Is there any chance Ryle is overlooking Conner?

I doubt it. They know they can be dangerous. Some of the girls of the two teams are friends and there has been some light-hearted banter/car decorating going on.

Hopefully it's a close game and Connor comes out on top!

Boone took down NDA in '06 when NDA was the "HUGE" favorite and 4 of Boone's top 7-8 were Frosh. Last year, Boone certainly was way under the radar. This season, no team is under the radar, IMO. I personally don't think Boone is that big of a favorite.

There are "10" (two on each team) key player's on the top 5 teams. If "any" one of those player's are injured/sick, in foul trouble, or does not play well...that particular team's chances decrease in a "very" big way.

Just like last year...playing on a college floor can cause a team headaches as well...this environment favors the "hot" team, best conditioned athletes, and the team with perimeter shooters that can adjust to shooting without a backdrop.

My heart is with Boone, but with how much they rely on Moss' 25+ pts and Sandlin being the lone ball-handler...I'm a bit concerned about having enough gas in the tank for two tough back-to-back games (assuming they will see a lot of press). Last year, Boone had two capable ball-handlers so they didn't see much press therefore back-court depth and conditioning weren't an issue.

This tournament has more parity than I've seen in 5-6yrs...and will be a treat.

Boone actually has 4 ball handlers most people are unaware of this because they havent needed them. I think boone will do great on the college floor as 6 of those girls are aau players and have been on college floors alot.I agree the teams have toughened up in the second half of the year, but boone has basically played 2 games lately with Moss 18 mins. or less. I think with the experience of Boones 3 seniors they pull this out. I just think its so sad 3 great teams are in the same district because they are all deserving to be at state(Boone, NCC,Ryle).

Sorry on that,i meant region, should have read preview

If the district match up occurs with NCC and Highlands, what time is that game? The scoreboard list both games at 8pm.

The boys play at 6:00pm and the girls play at 8:00pm.

If they haven't been seen, or have the experience, they are not ready for this stage. Unlike in the past, BC fans have usually sat back and wouldn't talk about it until "after" they won...not sure why this year is different.
