Tough year for the Tigers. Do they start district play next week?

Great effort by Beechwood, but if not for a few Cov Cath miscues this one was heading towards running clock. Beechwood just didn't have the talent or depth to hang with them.

Hope so.

No need to discuss this game for the sake of our friends at Beechwood and I honestly mean that! CovCath won and that is all that needs to be said after this game! Win with class lose with class!

Good luck Beechwood Coaches/players/students/parents and fans, in the Single A Division! Hope it turns out great for the Tigers at years end! :thumb:

Is it 4 of the last 5 games CovCath has won against Beechwood now?

That's 5 out of 6. Great win for CovCath. Best scene of the day was Michael Robinson running on the field in pads. Great team captain.

Could he play some this year?

Congrats to CCH for the big win... it seems that the Colonels keep improving every week.

Recovery from a bruised spleen and lacerated kidney is 4 months. That would be the first round of the playoffs. Don't count this kid out. I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on the radio. Michael broke this news coincidentally at Highlands on the air for the freshman game.

I love what Coach Wirth said to the team in the huddle: “Do not think you have arrived”!

For the first time in quite a while you have to add the qualifier "for a 1A team" to Beechwood. Too young. Too small.

Great day running for Erp. OK not great passing. Beautiful TD pass to Alex Connelly. Great catch and footwork by Alex on that one.

Leo trucked a LB on his long run. He also de-cleated a LB on Erp's run that ended up at the one yard line.

Strong day by the D-line and o-line.

Good to see Geisen becoming more involved in the scheme.

I'm a bit concerned about pass D.

Congrats to Cov. Cath. You earned that win, no doubt! :ylsuper:

If anyone ever needs proof that football games are won at the line of scrimmage, just tell them to look at Beechwood this year versus previous years. Beechwood's line is too inexperienced and too small to hang with the big schools this year. I don't believe CCH punted once in the game. They scored on every possession except when they turned it over. Coach Rash changed up some people on defense today and it still didn't work. He now has the district games to experiment and see if he can find the players and/or combination that will work in the playoffs. Beechwood is good enough to walk through the district except for perhaps a challenging game against Bellevue. So happy days are here for Tiger fans but don't count out any opponent when playoff time gets here.
