Saint Xavier, OH/Highlands Predictions
I think the better question is Do 68% of you honesty think St. X will beat the Highlands Blue Birds Friday, or are you picking St. X because you are a St. X fan?

Saint Xavier, OH/Highlands Predictions
I can't wait to see your 6'4 250 (5.4 40 guys) come after Bardo in the shotgun. The difference in this game unlike the others played by Highlands this year is that Bardo isn't going to just run outside the pocket and wait for Buten or Drennan to run down field for a bomb. He's going to the outside in 5th gear with a "catch me you can mentality". This will be the determing factor in the Birds success against the Bombers defense. I'm not sure who will ultimately win the game, but if you have think that you're facing a Louisville St. X or Louisville Trinity type of offense you're going to be in for a shock.

As a Highlands fan I'm thrilled Cov. Cath. football is on the way back. I can't wait for 10/17.

Highlands 36 Boone County 14
Please elaborate on this.

St. Xavier, OH 24 Louisville St. Xavier 7
Yes there are “beat St. X tee shirts.” Why wouldn't there be? It's a national televised game against arguably the class of Ohio this year. I can assure Cov. Cath. fans that Highlands fans and the program haven't relegated you to irrelevancy. Though we would love to beat you by 10 touchdowns every year we play you I can assure you that your program is highly respected by the folks in Ft. Thomas. Obviously a frustrated Cardinal supporter.

Boone County/Highlands Predictions
It will probably be a 24 pt. margin of victory for Highlands.

Highlands 37 Ryle 14
Ryles players were pretty impressive. Their coaching staff was a different story. The bonehead calls in the first half quite frankly put Ryle beyond the 8 ball. I enjoyed watching one of the Ryle coaches run up and down the sidelines acting as if he were competing in a national cheerleading competition. Hey coach football is a lot like a horse race. You don't see a jockey stand up on the horse and start cheering just because he's ahead at the first quarter pole. Instead he stays focused because he knows he's got a long way to go. Being aggressive is one thing, but that was simply very bad play calling in the first half.

Highlands by three touchdowns.

Best QB Northern Ky and entire state
Numbers are very deceiving. Do you ever go to the track and see where a horse has won 10 races in a row, but then look down and see the class of horses he’s been winning against. I’m sure if Bardo’s regular season schedule consists of teams with a combined total season record 46-72 as Mr. Andrew’s did last year he will put up some unfathomable numbers.

Randy Moss' daughter
Has she even been approved to play at Boone? Some may be putting the cart before the horse.

9th Region POY
I never discounted his ability. I said I dont think should be a front runner for POY. I'd choose between Maile, Darner, or Isler. Maile and Darner have put up even if not better stats against better competition. Thats just how it goes...
-
9th Region POY
This is only the case when playing the Villas and Calvarys. CovCath won't throw their ace at Bellevue, and neither will Beechwood or Ryle. Hunter Jones is a good player dont get me wrong, but he hasnt faced the top level of competition to be considered for POY. I think the most valuable player is Maile because by not throwing to him sets up his teammates for success. But the POY (best stats imo) should go to Darner or Isler.

Highlands Baseball
No player from the 9th region has gone on to play at any level of collegiate baseball in the past few years that didn't play SWOL.

Highlands Baseball
Baseball will never be where it should be because of Football. Its sad to say but is true. And the whole spring break thing is stupid. Were the only school in NKY thats has this problem. The Love for baseball just isnt where it needs to be at Highlands.

Highlands 10 Newport 0
Nice win birds...what does the schedule for this upcoming week look like? Isn't the coach Conner classic next weekend? Going to try to come up and make some games!

9th Region Pitching
Its pretty funny that the ONLY Division 1 pitcher signee in the 9th region isn't even in a lot of your alls top 5. AJ Smith has to be up there. Id say... Isler, Smith, Roenker (sp?), Nutini, and Etscheid (sp?). Thats just my opinion though.

Highlands 4 Bellevue 3
The Colonels and Kings got every stud player in NKY. Bluegrass always got second pickens' imo. Now that the Kings are no longer, the talent level of the Bluegrass organization will steadily increase.

Highlands 7 Calvary Christian 0
What I meant by this was the attendance for a CovCath baseball game vs. a team like Silver Grove (a.k.a. Bellevue/Cooper) would not have more people attending then if Highlands were playing Bellevue/Cooper.
-
Highlands 7 Calvary Christian 0
If you would have really read my post carefully I said that CovCath plays Bellevue later in the year. A small school team which you claim the size of school CovCath doesnt play this year. I have conducted plenty of research on both topics and stand by decision that Highlands does not look at games vs. Silver Grove, Bellevue, and Calvary Christian big wins. As well as I personally don't think Jones is a top 25 D1 player but I wish him nothing but the best. Thats just my evaluation of his talent. And regarding to your comment about Highlands' attendence at games, how many fans do you expect to see at a High School baseball game in general let alone a game vs. schools like Bellevue, Silver Grove, or Calvary?

Highlands Coaching Candidates?
How about Scott Hundley? He played college ball at Vandy and coaches as an associate at Montgomery County and has been there for a while. He was Mr.Basketball at Scott County and knows his basketball. If Highlands called I think he would be interested...

Highlands 4 Bellevue 3
I wouldn't say great...its an ok organization imo.
