Semi Finals are always on Thanksgiving weekend. No one is in school on Friday (even Thursday for that matter). Playing on Saturday is a moot point from a travel standpoint. In the old system the hosts of the Semifinals was determined by which side of the state they were on...that was flawed also. There are no universal 1 way fixes all aproaches. Everyone was up in arms over Boyle and Corbin meeting in the 3rd round...guess what with the old system, there were games that decided the State winner played well before the championship. The new system allowed for 2 teams from the same district to play for the championship last year (Male vs BE)...In years past that would have been a 2nd round playoff game!

First one to 21 wins this game. Both defenses are too good to allow much more than that IMO.

With the NCAA moving towards allowing the use of in helmet coach to player communication, what should HS football do? In my opinion the NFHS let the ball drop on sideline technology when it comes to HS football. All the sideline computer in game replay system has done IMO is created a bigger gap between the halves (those who can afford and most importantly staff this system) and have nots. Would allowing voice systems in helmets of QB's and 1/2 defensive signal callers help/hurt the game?

No Penalty allow 4 seeds the option to play in the post season or play another 4 seed in the first round of the playoffs and give the 1 seed a bye. Makes it a win win for everyone and the KHSAA doesn't have to change the playoff format.

Is this even an issue...one would think as paranoid as college football coaches are, they change their signals weekly anyway. Just let the coaches put a mic in their signal callers helmet like NFL and be done with it...

I think the KHSAA should have a 1.5 multiplier for private schools that give financial aid.

Deion is polarizing and has cashed in on that his whole life. He is brash, but he backs it up. I also think his brashness and flair causes people to over look the fact he is a very disciplined hard working coach/player that does things it takes to be a winner.

Kirby has built as big an empire on his own... Jimbo doesn't have Bama roots and hasn't lit it up at A&M Sark will build something special at Texas and has more resources arguably there than Bama. Lane would be next... That is just my thinking, and you are right, he has fallen forward a lot, but I also think he is a good Coach. He was just a brat until he came to Bama and worked for Saban.

Bottom line is Boyle is the elite program in that area. Danville has killed themselves with dumb moves from clueless administration. Boyle can name their score this year. Not sure if Danville can over come the negative momentum of their program when it is easy for families to go a few miles down the road. Time will tell.
