Rest in peace to one of the legendary coaches of college basketball. Whether he was liked or not, no one can argue his success. Rest in peace Coach Knight.

Just announced on ESPN.

Coach Knight had three national titles.

His famous quote " when I die they can bury me face down, so all my critics can kiss my behind." Prayers for family and friends.

At his best, he was the best coach in the country, a loyal friend and a true sportsman. At his worst he was a bully and a tyrant.

Knight's story will be complicated, and his light dulled by his actions that ended his time at Indiana.

A man with a lot of faults, some VERY glaring an public.  But he was one heck of a basketball coach.    In the next life, I hope he finds the peace that, at times, alluded him in this one.

One of the greatest coaches of all time. Also a bully that appeared to be a miserable human. Both statements can be true.

The world today needs more people like Bobby Knight. RIP

I respect Knight for his coaching abilities and his successes on the hardwood (3 national titles) but as a person he was a bully and tyrant. I doubt if he was a very pleasant person to be around and I’m sure those that were had to be on guard constantly for fear of saying or doing something that would trigger his temper.

A master Coach and a master psychologists.  Did he have faults, yes...did he make a positive difference yes.

Complicated is the very word Dan Patrick used to describe Coach Knight.

Old school ... RIP.

May God rest his soul, but let's be 100 here. The only reason Patrick, and everyone else is going with the complicated angle (and I get why they are saying this) is only because he was talented at his trade. Knight was not complicated. It is the feelings we get for Knight which are complicated because most acknowledged him as a bad person.
