Yes UK played only a couple of possessions in a true 1-3-1 zone and I am pretty sure they were scored on easily. I think the main adjustment (I haven't gone back and looked at it) was Oweh ended up guarding Nembhard a lot more in the second half...

I am afraid that Stoops and Barnhart are in a standoff. This is a total guess, but I think that Stoops and Barnhart can come to an agreement on what it looks like for Stoops to walk away as a Savior to UK fans...So Barnhart is willing to watch the program fall under Stoops watch and challenge Stoops ego on how he wants to be remembered. Success and a huge contract have gone to Stoops head and I am afraid UK will get a lot worse before they get better!

I love Sark, but for the future of College football, a Clemson upset would be monumental. I hate what the transfer/NIL era has become on CF...therefore I am cheering for the 1 guy who is still doing it his way/the old way!

I love the SEC, but I am glad that SMU is in over Bama. You can't lose 3 conference games and expect to be in the playoffs...I would almost say 3 loss at large bid should not even be considered...but at some point I am sure it will happen! I also believe that this helps save the conference championships games for now. While Bama and co are out talking about redoing thier out of conference schedule, had Bama gotten in over SMU, many AD's would have been asking to do away with conference championship games. This past Saturday was a great day of college football. I would hate to see that go away!

How healthy is O'Cath if Cherico can play and is efffective (been off a few weeks) and 22 from O'cath is healthy, then this will be a dandy of a game. I think Beechwood may have a slightly better team, but Atwell will be the best player on the field. It should be a good one!

Pope made great adjustments. Going small when Duke went big down the stretch was clutch. Running a run out inbounds play to seal the game was gutsy...and they got a big W getting 0 offensive contribution from their " Best Scorer". A lot of positives from this game. Down the stretch we missed a few buckets at the basket we have to make. Defensive adjustments were big, but when the big guy for Duke was out, they attacked the basket more in the second half and that was a switch up from the fiirst half. I also like Pope's substitutions. He did it based on the game in front of him and not based on whose feelings he was trying to preserve!

50 is the new 30 or 40 or something like that! I agree, his enthusiasm alone has been a fresh of breath air. But now I am also realizing he can coach a little also!

UK and U of L are crazy for not offering Atwell in football...Atwell is much better than Boley was IMO. As far as Atwell for Mr. Football... his numbers are huge. Quisenberry's numbers are huge, but they are over a 5 year span as well. I am sure it's Quisenberry's to lose, but Atwell has had a Mr. Football career.

IMO in instances like this...head to head wins should trump RPI ratings to determine Home field advantage.

I love Pope and his energy. Ball movement is better and they obviously are going to fire the 3's. I do see this team struggling with the athletes and physical play of the SEC however.

Mouth pieces and concussions go hand in hand. Mouthpieces should def be inforced. If kids want banged up knees for the rest of their lives, that can be on them.

Danville could have taken a 42-0 loss to Boyle and it would have been more beneficial for sure.

If this is the only D1 talent guy on their roster, then I think Boyle can give them a run for their money. Boyle has more 5x more D1 talent...should bold well for them.

Who made Danville's schedule? This is their 2nd year hosting Pulaski Co? Not sure what they were thinking as a struggling 2 A team. Have a pay out game you can win?

The new found energy in U of L and KY programs have been a breath of fresh air that the rivalry needed. I know very little about a lot of these players, but it looks on paper like UK and U of L have put together similar rosters. Kelsey has definately been relentless and killing it ...College basketball is better when UK and U of L are both top 10-20 basketball teams year in and year out!

I wonder if Inmon has ever played girls who came to DCA after high school began over some girls who have been there longer. Inmon is a piece of work.

It's a month after the season...If they were unhappy about the results they got, why not pull the plug right after the season. Just my thoughts...Steve Adams may have been interested in that job, Ed Mckinney.... But if there are some back table discussions and an oppurtunity comes up to bring in a "better" coach, you make the move now. This is all speculation on my part. Would Jeff Jackson be interested in this position? I think he can retire and if I am not mistaken he coached UHA back in the day, so he knows how the private school deal works.

The timing of this move suggest they already have someone lined up IMO.

I listened to a Podcast with Lee Anne Pope that she had done last year...they are a unique family and I didn't realize Pope studied for LSAT MCAT and GRE while playing in the NBA as a journeyman player for 10 years and only had 1 guaranteed contract in 10 years. His story is quite appealing and when he hangs mulitple banners in Rupp, it will only get better!

Plus West normally has some tallent and he doesn't have to deal with deep football playoff runs. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Another plant by UK. Have him redshirt and take some U of L money, have surgery, then enter portal next year and come to UK!
