$7500 for the head coaching stipend shows a big time lack of commitment/understanding from the admin at Glasgow. No HS Coaches in KY do it for the money, however the amount invested from the school system shows at least some commitment to a top notch program.

So on top of tall the speculation and timing of this process...it sounds like Coach Garmon was somewhat forced out as well. Is this a committee hire or a Principal hire? Or a committee that is in place so the powers at be can hide behind that process and hire who they want?

I guess the decision makers are willing to wait out a decision. I hate that Arnett or anyone gets lied to. The application and interview process is very stressful for everyone involved.

A week is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. What he has done at Hart Co has been really impressive!

I don't have a single problem with Coach Griffin shopping and trying to get the best situation for he and his family. There is too much stress and pressure on Coaches for little pay to not put yourself in the best situation you can.

They will look like world beaters. A lot of Cals teams hit rough stretches this time of year only to come out of it and play good ball. Too much talent on that roster not to figure it out. Too many UK folks are crowing about Cal and his demise...I hope we don't get a face full of crow to eat on Feb 1st.

Endowments mean you have folks associated with the school with deep pockets. I get that monies won't be taken out of the "endowment fund" for NIL purposes...but if you don't think that having Billions of dollars sitting there doesn't give University presidents/Ad's/Board of Regents who want to win "Big" the ability to be creative with cash flow you are crazy. You can see this in HS football...! Take Texas...if they have 40 Billion in endowment sitting in a simple account making 3% interest...that is 1.2 Billion. Take 5% of 1.2 Billion and that is 60 million dollars (I know these are not real numbers and how all the business works...but you get my drift). So a university decides they can take 5% of the interest made from their endowment to give to the AD. It's not that simple, but the power of the dollar is what is most important in this new age.

I think we have to start adding a Universities endowment to the picture. Texas #1 Public School $44 Billion endowment ND $16 Billion OSU #6 Public School $7 Billion PSU # 11 Pubic 4 Billion

I am not sure what Morris’s retirement is at OCHS, but I would think Edge would give anything to get Oboro job. Private pay is generally not great so I could Morris wanting that as well.

Was this a power play by Wallace to buy him 1 more year? If things were getting dicey with the president, this could have been a smart move by an old veteran. It would be hard to fire a guy who just announced he had more year and then he was done. It allows Wallace to go out on his own terms (Which he has totally earned)!

In terms of impact in HS I would say Dawson. Obviously football career as a whole would go to Tamme.

I get the feeling he and Barnhart are in a showdown. Stoops wants X amount of money to ride into the sunset...Barnhart is willing to watch Stoops tear down his own legacy with his price tag. Losers are the fans, but in this portal age...it's not as long a process to rebuild if Barnhart is wainting Stoops out.

If you put those players on a lot of teams, they would become contenders!

Belichick might have the most experience now with the ever changing NCAA landscape. NCAA football as we know it, is dead...NFL has rules and salary caps...NCAA doesn't. If he is assured the means to go get who and what he needs...he may knock this out of the park. If you look at the college programs that have developed GM type rolls and most are Saban disciples...Belichick will be running a professional model from top to bottom.

A guy named Saban had pretty good success. Granted I think this situation and Saban to bama are apples and anchovies!

I would argue that Lexington Football is better at the top. FD and BS have both been contenders the last several years. Sayre won the 1A Championship, LCA final 4 in 2A and Lex Cath is solid year in and year out.
