Trouble on Poplar Level Road?

Apparently an email went out today from St X about the Catholic school placement test for 8th graders. I’m pretty sure this is a common practice from all the Catholic schools.

What is not common about it was an attachment that had the numerical ranking of the football players that the coaches had seen throughout the season.

I would think there are some unhappy folks seeing where their child is “ranked” by the coaching staff. I would also think that the Head Coach has had just about enough of the unwanted help he is getting over there.

  • We just checked the list against ours. Interestingly, DeSales football currently has each and every one of those players listed as a 10 out of 10. (Go Colts!)

  • It is ridiculous for Twitter feeds or radio shows to report stuff like this without verification.    Once it is out on those places, it becomes fair game for commentary on forums such as this.

Well, some people won't take well to that for sure. Even if it's an honest assessment, their will be some rear end hurt people.

Being a good player - means you need academics for Private school. No matter what private or public playing, the better student athletes will play at the better schools no matter what. It is sad that talent is everywhere in Louisville, but not enough support to get all of the kids to see the bigger picture.

I can't see a scenario where sending out a list like that would benefit anybody. But I also don't see it as a huge deal either.

It's not pretty on Poplar Level Road at the moment. More to come.................

X gonna be open before we know it!

Did this go public from the same radio show that has the motto, “facts are optional.”?

I think it was out there floating around before they reported it.

There’s one domino that fell on Monday. Honestly surprised it hasn’t come out to the public.

I heard something about the AD but I can't confirm anything.
